Mga ka-innova question lang.

Inter-connected ba yung mga belts sa engine natin? (pardon my ignorance for lacking the right term)

Last weekend yung sa tita ko naputulan ng fan belt.

ang nangyari is bumigat yung steering, nag overheat tapos pati alternator nadamay.

so i concluded (assumed) interconnected yung mga belts? tama ba?

sa mga newer toyota engines, alam ko iisang mahabang belt nalang ang gamit. kaya pag naputol, damay na lahat.

How can we check the integrity of the belt?

Ang hirap sipatin pag nakabukas ang hood, nasa lower part kasi siya diba?

you could check for visual cracks in the grooves of you serpentine/fan belt.

[CVT]

Visual is good and should be done regularly...

For me, palit na lang on recommended milestones, either mileage or vintage....

1 piece serpentine belt yung sa innova ng sister ko. 2013 model....relatively mura naman ang serpentine belt. kaya it pays to bring a spare kahit yung mumurahin lang kesa masiraan ka pa ng makina, ma stranded sa daan ng buong gabi or maghahanap pa ng auto supply sa daan.

There's a replacement brand called opti belt much cheaper than OEM but I don't know if it is as durable.

Hingi lang po ng advice, out of warranty na Innova E Diesel ko, ano bang brand ng Fully Synthetic oil ang magandang gamitin. Sa FS oil ba pwedeng hintayin umabot ng 10T Km regardless kahit ilang months na? Even more than a year? Bihira ksi gamitin yung sasakyan, kapag nagbabakasyon lang ako. Thanks!

For FS oil Mobil Delvac 1 is a good choice for your crdi. But if you are on a budget i suggest you use the Top 1 SDO. Observe proper OCI 10,000km or 1yr which ever comes first.

I assume madami tayo dito na ang model is from 2004-2010.

pano ba proseso nito? will toyota call our atention?

Kaya pala naka on yung airbag light ng inniva namin... Tapos nawala after restart
