    my innova was like that once.. traced it to worn alternator bushing/bearing.. didn't bother to fix. replaced alternator..

    ang mahal ng alternator 20+k? i replaced mine 2 years ago... no charging.

    yup! medyo bago pa ang innova nung panahong yon... wala pang masyadong piyesa sa labas ng casa..

    Bro. Bago pa yung unit. Wala pang 1000K nung nangyari. OK yung output ng alternator and yung load test. May kumakain daw ng kuryente kapag naka off. Sabi niya 170 milliamps yung draw na medyo mataas daw. Usual culprit day ay yung aftermarket na add-ons.

    Masyado mataas ang 170 mA para sa isang add on na naka standby mode.

    Madali lang i-test yan yung kung add-on mo nga ang kumakain nyan, mag-series lang ng tester sa add-ons mo then kunin ang total current nila sa stand=by mode.

    under warranty pa yan paps, kung outside casa iyong alarm, remove it (and anything else not OEM) and see if the parasitic load disappears

    Hi kristine, ilan taon innova mo at how many km sa odo nung magpalit ka ng alternator? Madalas ka ba magpaengine wash?

    kung nasa biyahe ka sir at na drain baterya, alternator problem yan sir. have it check.... usually hindi naman kailangan palitan buong alternator may parts doon like pulley or bushings na un lang papalitan.

    Toyota Makati ko pina-install yung alarm, central locking and back-up sensor. I did the parasitic drain test again because I came across an article regarding waiting for the ECU and alarm to got "sleep". Like clockwork after about 1 minute the drain dropped to 18 miliamperes. I did the test several times and ganun pa rin. Hintayin ko na lang kung mag drain yung battery by itself. Last night I'm getting 12.42V ngayong umaga 12.39V pero I had to start the car to reposition it. Try ko ulit tingnan voltage this PM. Anyway may appointment na ako sa casa for Tuesday. Thanks all and I will updaye you kung ano mangyayari.

    I think there's nothing wrong with the car itself, it was just the battery that is showing goodbye signs. Just be ready and bring along battery delivery phone number.

    No idea kung bakit nasira alternator ko at 80k km. Sa tingin ko baka dahil sa pina engine detail ko sa CASA. di ko alam anong ginagawa nila pag magpa engine detail ka. Never ako nagpa engine wash sir tim.

    Ilang years na yung battery? Baka naman talaga dapat ng palitan.

    2 months. Pati yung unit. Voltage is holding at 12.39-12.4 V.

    Check mo paps yung hugot ng current sa battery mo kapag naka engine off ka. And you can also check nyan kung magcharge rin alternator mo.

    80K km na rin pala. Well, kung ginagamitan ng pressure washer at di tinatakpan yung alternator, that can lead to winding degradation. Or maybe the bearing could have broken down at the mileage of your car.

    Mga paps, ask lang kung naencounter nyo na ito sa innova fuel gauge, kapag pina-dle mo sasakyan ng mga 5 to 10 minutes, makita mo na biglang bumababa or gumalaw fuel gauge mo, pero kapag pinatakbo mo na ito, babalik sya sa normal reading. VVT-i 2008 E model sa akin mga paps. Ask lang kung na-observe or naencounter nyo na rin ito, say naipit kayo sa traffic or may inaantay kayo habang umaandar makina.

    Parasitic drain is 180 milliamps which goes down to 18 millianps after ~ 1 minute. Load test (A/C, lights) is stable at 14V on idle. Revving still maintains ~14V at the battery terminal. Gusto ko sana load test using starter pero walang min/max function yung tester/multimeter ko.

    guys, ask ko lang. For VVT-i na matic, ok lang ba while going uphill from 3 to shift down to L? Lets say when going uphill na nasa 3 ka, then mukhang bitin and just shift to L to pickup the pace, ok lang ba yun?
