Yes, nagpa engine wash ako last saturday. Sunday afternoon nangyari yung problema. Nung dinala ko sa servitek kanina umaga, di naman nangyari ulit. Siguro nga nabasa spark plugs. Anyway, thanks for the advice.

Fellow innova owners, notice that other rear wheel drive cars have aux fan but innova and fortuner don't? ( Mitsubishi montero, Starex?), the toyota engine bay is just as cramped as that of montero yet they put 2 aux fan in addition to the radiator fan which activates with aircon. Anybody here installed aux fan sa innova?, kindly share your experience, TY!!!.

when you compute or estimate for the fuel consumption, separate mo yung sa city & highway driving kasi you wn't get the closest figure...and also compute your FC only based on your fuel tank capacity,55liters lang tank capacity nation not 60 or 70...magfulltank k then byahe, after byahe, full tank mo ulit to get ur fc.

The avarage FC computed is based on our usual route(60% hiway). It may not be applicable to all of us kasi iba iba ang route natin. but for me given the results, I'm satisfied. AND given its displacement and capacity compared to our corolla (1300cc, 12valve, 4speed manual) FC is not that far.

Thanks for the advice, but I dont see anything wrong with computing more than what our tanks capacity. its the same formula (FUEL Consumed divided by the distance covered). But for the benefit of the doubt I have done both method on our corolla. same results lang.

60% hi-way pala so resonable naman pala ang FC mo.

tanong ko lang din. using the full tank method nasa 10km/l ako city driving. napansin ko lang tuwing magfulltank ako yung range sa MID is 450km max. naisip ko lang di ba 55liter ang tank capacity so more or less dapat nasa 550km siya. alam ko hindi accurate yun pero parang ang layo naman.

compare the innova's condenser size to what monty has you will not wonder why fort and innova don't have aux fan.

55L andun na ata yung reserve fuel. Maaring [although im not sure] 10L ang reserve fuel, at hindi rin ipinapakita ng MID ang distance to empty na kasama ang reserve fuel.

    Di ko sure. Cmiiw nalang.

It is actually a good number, bro.

Our VVTi A/T is doing 8.5Km/L on the same mix (40%city/60%hiway)....

Use Microtex line of wash mitt and drying cloths if you will do your own washing. Kapag puno ng dumi, especially ngayong tagulan, use plain water first then use your bare hands to try to remove the deposits first before applying diluted car shampoo. Marami din namang reputable car shampoo brands sa Ace or Handyman or any car shops.

During actual washing, do not use excessive wiping action as trapped dirt in the wash mitt may leave surface scratches. Just let the mitt slide through. Para sigurado, have your car washed in reputable detailing shops. I read Big Bert's is famous for this.

Do not wash your engine with water unless you are familiar with it and understand the risks involved. In general, the manual will tell you not to use water when cleaning the engine bay as your electrical and electronic components might get compromised. The best way is just to use damp cloth to wipe away accumulated dust and dirt in the engine and bay. Again, I think the likes of Big Bert's does engine detailing services. Hope this will help you a bit.

Sir, basa basa ka muna dito Auto detailing thread

For start buy those wash mitts (towel type) use these pag maputik yung body sabayan mo ng tubig (hose sprinkler) but DONT press the wash mitts to heavy against the paint - this will avoid swirl marks.

Have a separate wash towel for tires and wheel wells.

I am planning to buy a new Innova next month. Is July a good month to buy in terms of promos and offers? I am not familiar with the ups and downs in Toyota promos through out the year. Some offer me 30K cash discount plus freebies like luggage tray, spare wheel lock, etc., if I buy this month. But I want to get a feel if by your own experience the month of July or August is a better deal month for buyers. Thanks.

I think 40-50K discount is the norm.

It's normal. It's the pressure release valve
