Hi mga innova guru, newbie po ko dito. Tanong ko lang kung okay lang walang engine under cover yung makina? hindi ba madali masira yung makina pag walan nun?

Welcome to Innova forum. First off, i don't consisder myself a guru.

For your damaged bumper, pls post some photos for us to recommend the best route of repair. Incase the bumper needs replacement. check out ( s u l i t dot c o m ) I saw a secod hand bumper being sold for 3k. For your exhaust, unless the dent is big enough to restrict air flow it should be ok. Again, pls post a photo.

Hi Ginnova. Thanks! I already fixed it by bringing it sa shop dito sa may kawit. Paid 2,800 for the repair. Do you recommend bull guard? Hirap kasi pag jeep nakadali sayo, sorry lang ang isasagot.

Meron na ba sa inyo nakaranas na bumababa rpm (about 500rpm) habang naka idle or pag start tumakbo? 2005 gas A/T innova ko. Hindi kasi normal na parang nanginginig, pero once na nag shift up na gear ay nagiging ok na. Pag stop ulit at dahan-dahan na tumakbo ay parang nanginginig makina. Well maintained naman innova ko every 5k & 10k kms. Pls. advice. Tnx.

Guys share ko lang...

About two weeks ago while driving along NLEX northbound, a rock flew from the direction of a 10-wheeler truck ahead of me on the adjacent lane. I saw the spinning rock hit the asphalt ahead, bounced even higher than its initial position, and landed with a sickening sound on my hood on its way down, bounced again, hit the base of left the wiper before going over my roof. Luckily for me, it missed the windshield.


I think it's a rock that was stuck between the rear tires of the truck. It came "unstuck" at speed and since there was no mudguard(!) to stop it, the rock merrily flew and hit my car. The incident stripped a bit of the chrome garnish of the hood and bared what I think is the metal of the hood itself.


Touch up paint to the rescue!


Moral of the story=):

I knew beforehand about this danger when you're behind a truck with gaping space between its tires, just inviting a solid object to get stuck and unstuck. The incident happened before I could get out of the way. I had the mind to slow down, not swerving right or left on the expressway but the squarish rock's timing was impeccable (the rock looked like it had corners).

Ganyan talaga sa highway, hindi mo maiiwasan. Madami na ring "pimple marks" yung innova ko dahil sa ganyan. Kung di lang nagdent yung portion ng body mo na tinamaan, irecommend ko sana yung scratch repair kit ng turtle wax. May clearcoat sya na kasama at mae even out mo yung finish, especially may touch up paint ka.

Check fuel pump or fuel filter.

Hi Fellow Innova Owners, Lalo na sa mga nakapag 1K PMS recently. How much and ano ano included sa mga binayaran nyo? Had a quotation at different toyota dealers and they have different quotes. heres and example. got this from toyota makati (bel-air)

Talaga po bang ganito ang ginagawa sa 1K PMS? sa ibang dealer wala ung P.O.L and gasket pero mas mahal ang OIL FILTER nila at ung OIL?

Wala din sa description ng ibang dealers ung items 2 - 6? I even ask one dealer through telephone na bukod sa change oil and oil filter ano ano pa i checheck...sabi sakin un lang daw..ung tighten bolts, clean brakes....sa 10K PMS pa raw un?

Anybody knows ano ung P.O.L and para saan un? ung nakausap ko sa service dept ng toyota makati nung humingi ako ng quote e d nya daw alam?!?!?

Salamat sir mile2, tamangtama lang fairview caltex, along commnwealth kasi ako..
ngpapalit ako ng airfilter saka fuel filter don nung friday, it costs me 1100 only plus 110 na labor.. very satisfied with their price samantala dun sa una kung pinagtanungan sinisingil ako ng 3500..grabe kung managa talaga yung ibang shop..

Me,not on innova but on my other car. Due to water in one of the spark plugs. I got it after an engine wash. Nagpa engine wash ka ba? Have your spark plugs and spark plug compartment checked. Bugahan lang ng strong air, ok na yan.

buti ka pa sir, naka 713kms na Innova mo. Samantalang ung sa kin May 26 ko nakuha, nasa 251 pa lang. mas mahal pa kasi ung parking ko sa FC ko(D4D ung sa kin).
Actually sir aus yang FC mo. Sabi ng pinsan ko na may 2009 VVTi na Innova, 8km/l lang talaga nagagawa ng unit niya.

Best FC ko so far is 11.5 km/l. Manila to subic via sctex. Just followed expressway speed limits. To think may roof rail/carrier with baggages pa ako with 7 people on board. Pero un iba kaya pa daw more that 11.5. 2009 VVTI E M/T sa akin

Sir thanks po for the info. Pero yung unit ko po D4D, I mean yung engine cover na nilalagay sa baba ng makina. Minsan kasi pinapasukan ng pusa yung makina ko. dumadaan sa ilalim. Kaya naisip kung okay bang palagyan ng engine undercover.

How did you came up with 77.3 liters. Maximum fuel capacity is 55liters only.

After getting the Unit * Toyota Dasma, had it filled full tank(automatic with level 1 on the pump speed) and reset the trip meter. gas up a couple of times then yesterday had it filled again in full.

77.3liters came from yesterdays full tank(49.00liters) + the 2 occations(9.48liters & 18.97liters). divide it with the total milage from last reset(713.7kms).

i assume vvti yung sayo at hndi d4d kasi wala kang underhood cover.disappointment ko yan nung una ko naku innova ko.
to answer your question,it won't affect your engine if you don't have it. without it though,your underhood paint could fade quicker and of course mas madali dumumi especially if white pearl kotse mo like mine.

underhood cover is about 10k sa casa.and you wont be able to find an oem in accessories shops.

i bought mine, oem to ha, exactly the same sa casa at just 3k from a fellow tsikoteer who sells toyota underhoods.
i forget his username but i got several posts about this and info in the "innova accessories" thread. go search for it na lang

Ahh na excite lang ako sa pag type hehehe. factor din cguro ung dinadaanan namin.. Heavy traffic encountered in the morning and in the evening * EDSA (balintawak - buendia and vice versa) and some parts of Manila and QC.
Actually eto ung mga napuntahan ng innova namin this past 2weeks. not to include churh runs every sunday

just about right. 2008 vvt-i manual best fc i get is between 7.5-8.5 km/liter city driving. highway driving increases fc to 10-12 km/liter. fc is maintained up to now (2012).

for more accurate measurements, minimize all the variables. try to fill in the same pump, same station, and stop filling using the "automatic stop" of the pump. re-fill your tank only until the yellow gas warning light lights up. fc usually improves between 5000 and 10000km odo reading.

mahirap makakuha ng exact FC, kasi pag nagtrip na yung auto shut off ng pump station pag full tank ka na (nakadepende din ito kung paano ipinasok ng gas boy ang nozzle), kasi ibang gas boy kaya pang mag topping off ng mga >3 liters??. kaya madalas binabantayan ko gas boy pag pa-full tank ako at pag nag trip yung nozzle binabawal ko na agad gas boy tatapon lang yung iba doon.

Satisfied naman ako sa current FC ni Ynna. power is enough...have tried going up to tagaytay with 6 adults and 3 children. gusto ko subukan sa baguio and pagudpod...will post figures pag meron na.
