yes, exactly. I'm quite surprised that those better filters available actually cost less than the Toyota OEM oil filter. But for the fuel filter element, toyota OEM is already considered a good quality. I think it is priced at Php673.
Then, what is this man telling us, bro?...

    Or, am I missing something?

Ang puntos lang dito bro, may mga ibang dekalidad na oil filter kumpara sa Toyota OEM oil filter. Bukod sa ito ay mas dekalidad, ito ay mas mura pa kumpara sa OEM oil filter. So you get best of both worlds. Mura na at dekalidad pa and it would last you longer before your next oil and filter change that would save you cost. If those premium quality oil filters would cost more than the Toyota OEM oil filter, breakeven na lang cguro ito or better stick with the OEM filter. FYI lang.

So your P673 is NOT a Toyota OEM oil filter, is that right? And based on the input of some members, can go up to 10KKm for PMS?

OT: Nice to meet with a handful of some Innova enthusiasts yesterday PM at the MoA...

ah hindi brad, ung Php673 ay presyo ng OEM fuel filter element for Innova D4D. Iba naman un. siningit ko lang.... Ung OEM Oil Filter ng Toyota ay Php426. Yes, maganda ung filtering media kaya could last longer than using ordinary oil filters. Congrats sa inyong EB. Mabuhay InnovaClubPh.

Ususally my multi-info display is set at FC Km/Li by default. Since yesterday was unusually hot, I decided to see the temperature reading in the display and to my surprise it reaches 43C. I know that Pagasa recorded highest ambient temperature for yesterday was at 35.9C.

Baldwin has no fakes so far and the store has been patronized by several tsikot members who can attest the items they bought is the real deal. Get the Baldwin BT223 (for D-4D or VVT-i) from Volmax.

I called-up Volmax before and talk with Manny. Wala daw silang available na baldwin oil filter for Innova. Maybe he didn't know that part number BT223 would fit in the Innova? I'll call him again and ask for that specific part number.

ginnova, yung baldwin B233 fit din sa vvt-i natin. not sure if fit siya sa d4d. this is bigger than BT223. so better filtration.

more than a month ko na gamit, walang leak. walang pressure problem.

sa Volmax mo binili yan? teka, same lang ba size ng oil filter for VVTi and D4-D? kindly confirm lang sa mga nakaka alam. Kung same size lang, edi hindi nga mag fit ang BT223.

    bt223 for all 4cylinder toyota.

but for innova vvti, pwede b233 as posted above. since maluwang yung surrounding ng oil filter area. sa volmax ko nabili.

i bought my b233 a month ago. im not sure if it will fit the tight engine bay of the d4d. its a little more expensive than bt223. bt223 is priced at 215(?) and b233 is 250(yata).

i bought the b233 by accident. but it was a perfect fit naman. no issues at all. plus its bigger than the stock size filter, so better filtration and less chance of sludging.

baka walang stock talaga now kasi puro tiga tsikot ang bumibili.

It is more important to know what filter will fit what kind of engine. Therefore one's vehicle's engine code is essential. For example, the 2TR-FE in the Fortuner is the same engine found in the 2005 (and up) Tacoma in the US. Using this information, one can easily connect the dots. I used the tool in the baldwin website to search for the oil filter used for the Tacoma w/ 2TR-FE.

or you can use this. JS Filters :: Product Catalogue
If you know the oem filter code used in your vehicle. Take note some results may come out contradictory. It may not necessarily be the correct one. Its best if you other sources to back up your findings.
For example: two months ago I entered " 90915-YZZD2 " and the results came out as "BT223" for the balwin. But now it shows something else.

Toyota specifies (or at least the dealer casas does) 90915-YZZD2 oil filter for Fortuner/Innova/Hilux (all engines). You can verify this on the service invoice that they issue you after each PMS. And if the 2TR-FE (in a Tacoma) is being specified by Baldwin to use BT223 then it must be safe to say Toyota 90915-YZZD2 = Baldwin BT223.

I know all this may sound fallacious or may possess some false logic to some. Btw, it is dvldoc (alcohol injection guru) who first suggested BT223 for all Toyota 4 and 6 cyl. I just did my own independent fact finding to verify it.

Ps: For those wondering about the 1TR-FE in the Innova gas, I believe its very close to the 2TR-FE. In fact, they share the same amount of oil to use. So whatever works on the 2TR-FE, will work with it.
