Could be the extra weight of the additional features of the V (ABS / Automatic Tranny) weighing the car down, tsaka 4speed yung AT ng Toyota vs the 5spd of the MT.

Plus *usually* mas malaki yung power loss sa Automatic/Torque Converter compared sa Manual Transmission. Mas halata yata ito sa city driving/stop-and-go kesa sa highway (where FC figures should be similar).

yes, in general, in engines with similar displacements, those with m/t have better fc figures than those with a/t.

I said 'usually' in my first post because this is no longer always applicable. Dati, oo siguro.

In the case of modern vehicles (the 4AT of Toyota isn't considered modern), cars with AT actually get better FC figures than cars with MT pagdating sa highway drive, particularly when the ATs have longer geared 5th/6th gears.

Unlikely caused by the AT. Yung colleague ko with a 2007 E d4d AT and it's doing the same kpl as my MT at 10+. However, another colleague with 2011 AT D4D only doing 8 kpl despite his tipid mode driving. Car is rarely used and mostly on weekend drives only.

Hi. Been using caltex diesel techron, heard from the other thread na mas maganda sa CRDi yung euro 3 or 4 or 5. Unioil uses euro5 and seaoil uses euro 3(hindi ako sure sabi kasi euro 5 pero binaba sa euro 3). The big 3 uses only euro 2. anu ba maganda gamitin natin sa sasakyan natin?

pagka alam ko much lesser ang sulfur content ung mga Euro III or IV.... of course the cleaner the better. bakit nga pala Euro II lang ang the Big 3 ?

Anyone tried the seaoil or unioil diesel? nag improve ba FC nyo? any feedback. AFAIK the 3 station uses euroII diesel dahil kalimitan sa mga lumang sasakyan dito satin e compatible sa ganun diesel like the c190 na ginagamit sa mga PUJ.

Have you tried or are you using either Castrol GTX Diesel or Castrol CRB mineral based oil in your Innova? Kamusta ang performance?

Para sa akin the best ang Mobil oil. Mineral or synthetic. I've been using mobil sa '98 Revo ko before at pag nag change oil ramdam mo kaagad. Swabe ang andar ng makina. For now I use ToyotA Motor oil warranty pa kasi.

Same here...

Is it normal for the temperature gauge to dip almost half-way for a newly released unit? Do I already need to add an engine coolant even if we've only had the unit for less than a week, are there any recommended brands?

Imo, better stick with toyota life long coolant. ung ibang coolant might have other additives that might have an effect with your existing toyota llc if you mix it. coolant level should be in between L and F line in the reservoir.

Thanks, however I am still a bit concerned with the engine overheating especially knowing that we just got the unit. Unfortunately I didn't have the time to check the coolant reservoir so I'm not sure if it was at the level it should be.
