Yessir, problem with getting it chipped is you'll be tempted more to stomp on the gas pedal and so fuel savings might not materialize. On my truck it does help with fuel economy, nothing spectacular (+0.5Km/L or -0.7L/100Km city) so given I don't drive like a maniac it'll take a lot of Kms before the cost is recovered. In theory the fuel pump might also give out earlier because of the added pressure. Not really confident with chipping the 2kdftv engine, dami pa namang nagkaproblema sa engine na ito in the past even without mods.
We have a D4d Innova too, I find the brakes to be on the weak side, the suspension to be too soft. Stopping in the rain is a pain specially when loaded and it rolls too much in the turns. A power upgrade might not be a good idea unless those 2 things are upgraded first.
Don't know if this has been posted here already or not, its a good reference for guys with the 2kdftv engine.

Has anyone installed an aftermarket exhaust down pipe? And where?
I was advise this could yield extra hp and torque.
Hi Guys,
Has Toyota already solved the choking and hard start problems of the D4D-CRDI engines?
Tnx

Just curious, has anybody ordered an Innova within the last month? We submitted our bank PO last April 29 and up to now the SA claims that there are no E variant vvt-i m/t arriving.
does anybody know where to buy a magnetic clutch for the sanden compressor?
mine is giving me problems already.
thanks
You're correct. Being a utility van, the vehicle height makes it roll more so not suited for really high speed driving. Anyway, satisfied na ako sa 100kph. Not really looking at any modification now unless I will have the money to buy another car and experiment on this one that I currently have.
sir madami nyan sa mga suking talyer/car aircon shops...
same prob happened to me about 2years ago...i just replaced it with a bnew replacement magnetic clutch from a small talyer dito sa amin...ok naman up to now wala pa problema...nagtanong kasi ako dati sa denso sabi buong compressor daw dapat palitan 30k ata sinisingil...nakuha ko yung clutch mga 3K lang ata with labor na
Good Day inquire lang po kung talaga po bang hindi kasama sa free matting ung pang last row sa innova. ung sakin kc bale 4 pcs lang nakalagay. Thanks
what branch did you order from? i hate to say it, but at times you need to take drastic measures. you can try escalating it to their cro. i know its unethical and unpro, but what i did was give a sort of threat that we'll be doing a refund and dti complain if they aren't able to provide a unit - considering that you have already sent them a certain amount. what s*cks here is that they assure through words that ther is an available unit, but at the end of the day you always end up waiting for tomorrow.
speaking of speed, i am using gas and just noticed during long drives (nlex, sctex, etc...). when you get to reach 100kph+ at 2k rpm+, your mileage drops by a very significant amount. if you want to reach a mileage as high as 14km/l+, you got to drive less than 100kph not going above 2k rpm. yes, you have to underestimate your engine to achieve higher mileage - just don't lag your engine else you'll wear a lot
