Pagkakaintindi ko ksi from previous post, mineral oil is enough for every 5K PMS interval.
As per Toyota, mineral oil use is every 5,000 kms or 3 months or whichever comes first.

I even use my mineral oil up to 9 months bec. I barely covered 3,000 kms in that span of time.

No need for engine flushing. Bago palang kotse mo. Sludge formation at 1Kms? That Service advisor should work in the showroom where his skills will reap him more profit.

Mineral oil is mineral oil or other oil for that matter. Let's say you put in Toyota mineral oil (which is a Caltex relabelled oil, anyway) and on your next PMS, you can put oil from another company. No need for any unnecessary flushing.

If you burn CDR use low write speed preferably 4X only, this is also common problem with PC's where some cannot be read due to high write speed.

I use everyday CDR on my HU and I don't have problem on 4X write speed burned CDR even on full storage capacity.

I assume you still have warranty? Why not have it checked with your dealer.

For all you know, you may car may have problem with propeller shaft cross bearings or differential bearings or worst your transmission transfer bearings.

    Dear Maski,

IMHO, Regular oil change is important but we should use a little common sense & logic, re. use of mineral or synthetic and time interval we change oil. If you use you innova to carry heavy loads to go up to baguio regularly , or use it as mega taxi, oil change should be more frequent than the rest of us, using mineral or synthetic is more of a choice depending on economics and convenience.

Flushing is totally optional, and some car sites even discourage it, IMHO you can consider flushing during every 15-20km interval.

I also suggest to use their oil during warranty period.

    Regards

    gil

    Dear scofield,

So much has been discussed on the previous post re. 17" mags... but regarding the engine loosing power... I can only speak for Diesel A/T variant, Our innovas have the same exact specs as Hilux G, Hiace, and fort 2.5... and you can just imagine the tire size these vehicles have... and not to mention innova being lightest ... so power should not be a problem

    Regards

I can't say anything about the ride quality on 17-inchers, but the engine doesn't lose power with larger wheels. It rather takes a hit on acceleration, since there's more mass on the bigger wheels.

You can check for cross reference of full specifications here http://www.toyota.com.ph/cars/new_ca.../fullspecs.asp

    J & E has standard while G & V is optitron with tachometer

okey, however the rules also says:

Did I use abusive or hateful manner in replying? nor did I harassed, threaten or attack you personally?

All I posted was questions on why you are insisting to use text speak.

It is your problem for not having red the forum rules before posting so don't get so intimidated when someone calls on your wrong doings.

Rules are rules so we should just follow that, and it's an insult to our intelligence to read text speak really. Anyway back on topic, I've been reading some testimonies to those who had their tires replaced with 205/70s with the stock 15" rims. Can you guys post any pictures with these tires on? I've been contemplating whether or not to replace the tires with those eh. Medyo maganda kasi tignan and tataas pa yung ground clearance kahit konti.

It would have a higher ground clearance by 0.4 inch only for 205/70/15 and 0.7 inch for 215/70/15

You can use the stock 205/65/15 and the bigger 17 inch rim with 225/55/17 as reference for calculating tire size. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

    no picture yet

Ako rin may problem. Nakuha ko Innova ko nung June. Nag 1K PMS ako 2 weeks ago lang. Problem ko is ang hirap ipasok ang kambyo. Minsan, i still need to double pump the clutch.

I had it checked by the service foreman sa casa. ang sabi, marahil daw dahil di nagagamit ng madalas. Tapos, pagkagat ng clutch ko, may tutunog na "tug"...Sabi sa akin, pwede nila buksan ang clutch at pag may mga kalawang sa clutch disc pwede nila linisin pero di daw covered ng warranty iyun.

What do you think? Sa tingin ko covered dapat ng warranty yun e kaya ipapaservice ko on tuesday.

    thanks.
