    RP fully synthetic oil is P550/liter x 6 = P3300 Replace every 10KMs

Yung Air filter walang exacto sa Innova, you will need to find an adaptor tubing, in my case I use a plastic tumbler which I cut out the bottom to make a tube that would fit exactly on the mouth of the air filter box cover.

You source your RP from elsewhere and pay for labor at Speedyfix? How much does speedy charge for a simple oil change and how is their workmanship?

SpeedyFix has promo of oil change in his signature here in tsikot, the promo includes 4 liter oil + Oil filter + labor just add additional 2 liters oil for Innova VVTi and that is what you will pay them. (Promo P2,500 + 2 liters oil P1,100 = P3,600).

BTW, they will use VIC oil filter which is okay naman. If you don't want VIC oil filter then bring your own preferred brand (OEM Toyota oil filter)

^VIC oil filter (the genuine one) is supposedly made in japan so I think this is better than Toyota's OEM (from casas).

Yes VIC oil filter are made in Japan, I'm getting them at ACE hardware for P250/piece.

Also noticed that you used 6 liters for vvt-i. But the manual says that oil capacity w/ filter is only 5.6 li , w/o filter is only 5.3 li. Do you put in all 6 liters or are there left over? Btw, in Toyota casas, they just fill all 6 liters.

    OT:
Btw, Ace Hardware is expensive. I tried canvassing the prices of their different motor oil on stock and as expected, it is really a bit higher than gasoline station. Because I was jotting prices in my notebook, they even sent a security guard to ask me which company I'm affiliated with and what am I doing copying prices. WTF, how paranoid the Sy's are.

Yes, only about 5.5 liters should be filled, Speedyfix don't overfill it with full 6 liter and I still have extra 0.5 liters with me right now. Mas hirap ang makina pag sobra ang langis.

Hahaha my former boss, very protective talaga sila sa negosyo

BTW, I've also tried Petron Race Ultron fully synthetic and I would say Royal Purple is still more superior and besides Petron Race Ultron is a bit expensive at P575/liter.

^It goes to show that Toyota casas are filled with inexperienced OJTs. Imagine, they have been overfilling my engine all this time. No wonder the vvt-i feels sluggish. Will this harm the engine or do permanent damage at all?

Btw, what is the best and most suitable mineral or semi-synthetic oil, you have used for your vvt-i so far? I think when it comes to synthetic, Royal purple gets your vote. I cover less than 5K per year so I'm thinking I'm better off with more frequent mineral oil changes and not to mention its easier on the pocket. I'm thinking of twice a year of oil changes for mineral oil.

    Thanks!

The only mineral oil so far I've used with my VVTi was Toyota's mineral oil, but now I want to try the Honda's mineral oil 10w30, they say its good and it cheaper by the gallon.

I might try by January Honda's mineral oil, since my RP oil will be due for replacement by January.

First off, what engine are you planning to get? VVT-i or D4D?

So far, nobody here reported major engine trouble with their VVT-i's. But one thing you'd want to watch out for is the car not being upright. In my opinion, that's the first thing one should check when receiving a brand-new Innova.
