Mam liv share ko lang sa inyo experience ko, my innova is nearing the 5K mandatory PMS and ang plan ko is to change it to fully synthetic oil ( Caltex Havoline / 600.00 per liter ) like what i did on my vios 1.5G , initial 1K PMS mineral oil para maganit sa break-in and para maganda ang pagluwag ng bawat bagay na dapat lumuwag then sa sa 5K PMS shift to fully synthetic na , base on what I did on my car medyo nag improve ng konti FC pero for sure ang life span ng engine or ang yung tinatawag nilang tear and wear ng makina ay na prolong kumbaga mas tatagal at tahimik ang makina mo compare sa ibang naka mineral base engine oil , kasi yung fully synthetic ay kompleto na sa mga additives na dapat nag-exist sa oil natin and yung mineral naman ay di kompleto and according sa Toyota Motor Phillippines, they are not recommending na mag lagay tayo ng additives sa engine oil natin , the sad part on using synthetic oil ay mahal ito pero worth it naman 2nd you are bound to use it for the entire life ng engine mo coz if you change or go back to your previous mineral oil, there is a tendency na mag karoon ng oil leak ang engine mo...

I upgraded my oil to fully synthetic SAE 5W40 and cost me P5,2++, whereas when I'm using mineral oil it only cost me P1,2++ including all charges and taxes. SA told me that on my next PMS it will be only change oil filter and not change oil.

Engine runs smoothly and less engine noise, but my FC now reduced to 10.0-10.1 Km/li, whereas prior to my PMS I'm getting 10.3-10.6 Km/li on mineral oil SAE20w50.

I just don't get it, some can afford to buy a car worth 700k + and yet they can't afford to buy fully synthetic? Just my two cents.

Korek ka dyan bro, I just don't get it also, others can afford to buy an accessories worth 12k or 40k but can't afford to buy synthetic oil

Just my comuputation: If we use mineral oil every 5000 km or 3 months change oil ka na, whichever comes first, kung office house lang travel mo malapit lang roughly siguro 1000 km mo mga one month lang so pag dating ng three months change oil ka na kahit wala pang 5000 km. Kung palaging ganyan trend ng travel mo in one year 4 change oil ka so 1,300.00 x 4 = 5,200.00 total expenses for one year sa mineral oil.

WHEREAS, for fully synthetic oil every 10,000 km or 1 year change oil ka na, whichever comes first, granting same ang trend ng travel mo as mentioned above in ten months change oil ka na so 3,700.00 plus one oil filter (pag dating ng 5,000 km) 425.60 = 4,125.60 total expenses for ten months sa fully synthetic oil.

Mineral Oil expenses in 12 months = 5,200.00
Mineral Oil expenses in 9 months = 3,900.00

Fully Synthetic Oil expenses in 10 months = 4,125.60

I quoted 9 months in mineral oil kasi for the sake of argument baka sabihin natin 10 months lang yung fully synthetic oil while yung mineral is 12 months so sa 9 months ng mineral oil compared with 10 months ng fully synthetic oil the difference is 225.60 and what is 225.60? just my two cents..... yung quote ko na price is for gas variant ha. So korek ka dyan bro, I second the motion....

Or is it much better to change the ordinary oil every 5,000 km? Hope to get your views on this.

    Maraming salamat po.
Tama yung mga post ng mga kapatid natin dito yung fully synthetic oil may additives na siya that will benefit and prolong yung life ng engine. Based on my observation gumada talaga hatak ng innova ko at yung fuel consumption ko tumaas compare before 1000 km pero siguro yung pag baba ng fuel consumption has something to do with the break in period hindi sa effect ng fully synthetic oil. Based on my computation sa post ko it's woth it! You'll see the difference sa post ni jimaroquai at reply ko sa kanya.

May nag post dati dito I forgot his name, anyway he suggested to use dish washing soap. I tried it sa interior ng innova ko kasi beige din ang loob very effective. First lalagyan ko ng dish washing soap yung clean cloth then i pupunas ko viola, malinis ulit yung interior ko, so easy! Ganun din ginagawa ko sa ceiling.

This should be in a new thread pero di ko alam magstart ng new thread so i post it here...

Government vehicles with accessories, what's your comment?

Attached pic shows a red plate innova with ff accessories as seen on the exterior: rear spoiler with light, rear step bumper with light, aluminum side step bars, door visors, glass plate cover and muffler cuter. (which many of us cannot easily buy for our rides). May add-on or extra service/commitment/work/effort at bilis sa trabaho/serbisyo din kaya sa public official?

I agree, budgetwise, we as private owners cannot satisfy our own wants as far as add-on accessories for our rides is concerned, but government can. Its only in the Philippines.

not to side with the government or anything pero i think the acc. are just come ons. although most if not all toyota dealers are owned by mr. george ty, they still compete to be number one. maybe the winning bidder(dealer) offered all the acc. to win the account. i don't know, just rambling....

Mam liv ang suggestion ko po sa inyo iyong 1k to 5k niyo ay mag mineral oil ka na lang muna then saka ka na mag fully synthetic sa 5k pms mo para maganda ang break-in as to what i had posted earlier para lumuwag ang dapat lumuwag para bang "fine tuning" then pag fine tune na siya saka mo gamitan ng fully synthetic ang mafefeel mo ang extra power ng ride mo at fc mo gaganda.....

I need more time to loosen things up. With mineral oil, you have a better chance of getting the best clearance sa mga engine parts as compared to fully synthetic coz of its viscosity.

As for me, am using 0W40 ng Mobil 1. Meron ding 5w50 na within the range ng gas engine.

Nothing but the best.

bro i am one of the satisfied innnova owner who used synthetic oil on 1k PMS, they are correct engine run smoother ,less vibration, less engine noise when your in the car you will feel the riding comfort almost comparable to gas fed engine car but we do not recommend you to follow us we just share the benefits of using synthetic oil... its your call which type of oil you will use on your 1k PMS ...goodluck bro ...
