October 30th, 2010 02:31 AM #91Mine is 2005 vvti.

October 31st, 2010 02:14 PM #93Sirs, hindi kaya sa design ng gas tank ang problema? yung gas tank design casi is plain sheeted panel. plain sheeted panel is more prone to warping and dent as compared to corrugated panel which can handle much stress.

Try mo muna kunin part number sa parts section ng dealer and then go to Banawe stores that has signs of Genuine Toyota Parts like Celica, Toyorama etc.
Try mo muna kahit filler cap muna palitan and later na yung charcoal canister. Observe na lang muna kung babalik yung warping ng gas tank floor before you decide to replace the charcoal canister.

dapat i re-design ng TOYOTA ang pressure/vacuum filler cap or i calibrate. the design (+ & -) pressure on filler cap should be less than the design (+ & -) pressure of fuel tank to prevent fuel tank distortion which lead to crack.
Any storage tank with full of any product, once you discharge or drain will produce a vacuum pressure if the vacuum relief valve is not working.
Kahit ilang beses pa kayong mag palit ng gas tank at canister with the same specification paulit ulit lamang po ang problema.

Yung popping sound sa gas tank floor ay sign ng pressure relief after the engine is off.
