pagkaganoon, malamang meron solenoid valve ang avanza para kahit patay ang aircon sa likod, isasara niya ang flow of refrigerant. that means, sa harap lang ang gumagana. lucky are you na ganoon ang systema niyan.

BTW, kelangan ko advise ng mga mekaniko dito.

ang kotse ko, corolla gli, na-completely submerged ng baha sa iloilo . now what to do? sinabihan ko lang ang anak ko na hwag paandarin at malamang pinasok ng tubig ang mga cylinders.

I'm Sorry to hear that. Alam ko overhaul yan, sana di inabot cylinder, sana di nadali computer box. Naka compre pa ba yan? Naku sana kasama acts of God.

Last week, I had to jumpstart my Avanza G after not using it for 5 days. Yesterday, pinatulak ko nanaman po para makauwi from office. Looks like my battery is busted. Mukhang nag chcharge nman ang alternator kc nawawala nman yung battery lamp indicator kapag nka start na. Nevertheless, dalin ko sa Toyota Pasong Tamo sa monday para ma-check ang electrical. Sakto nman 15Km Chang oil na din.

Has anyone here experienced this? Or is this an isolated Avanza issue?

I believe isolated case yan, 2 months ago naiwan ko nabukas headlight ko sa parking for more than 3 hours, battery is almost dead engine would not start pero gumagana pa power door locks, pinagpahinga ko lang ng mga 10 minutes then tried the ignition again and broom ok na uli.

WHile the use of LPG offers a relief, our car in the philippines are not design for that. Marami na ako nabalitaan na nagpaconvert. I am not sure of the safety aspect-whether nasa loob or nasa labas. I have some foreign friends from Asia who uses LPG on their car. The good thing I heard from them is that, Their cars are engineered/designed for LPG. Meaning the leak test and other safety aspects were considered by the car maker. My 2-cents...

Qwertz yung sa third row ko din hindi nag-lolock before pag dumadaan ako ng humps or lubak umaangat. meron lang silang inadjust sa ilalim para kumagat. Sinabay ko yung sa akin nung 10k PMS ko

LPG conversion nowadays is not Totally complicated, I think for Newer Car SGI is the best conversion so far Japanese Cars can be easily converted to LPG according to some LPG converting Shops unlike other Car brands

I would just like to know the relationship of avanza kph and rpm. have you observed the rpms at certain speeds (for the last gear 5th MT, 4th? AT)... let's say, for the car i'm driving (1.6L A/T) it usually CAN shift at 2000rpm and at 4th gear, (fortunately the rpm gauge has small increments) 70kph is slighlty above 2000rpm. 80kph ~ 2300rpm, 88-90kph ~ 2500rpm. etc. I usually cruise control (manually staying at a speed) at 70-80kph (if i'm not in a hurry ). minimum at 4th gear could be at 65kph, but will have a tendency to downshift. Is it 3000rpm~80 or 100kph for avanza?

60kph (if applicable)
70kph
80kph
90kph
100kph
some have posted 120kph
etc (if applicable)

1b) at highest gear what speed(kph) is at 2000rpm (if not indicated above)

2) Also at top speeds, have you experienced any vibration due to high speed on the avanza? My tires are nearing replacement (one factor probably) and i experience on a sedan at 100-110kph the vibration... OR at what speed have you experience this on your Rides (any ride)

80kph = 2,500rpm (very stable)
100kph = 3,000rpm (ok pa din)
120kph = 3,750 rpm (medyo matagtag na)
140kph = 4,250 rpm (todo kapit na sa manibela)

100kph - 3125rpm. This one's from _Qwerty_ (naka G A/T din siya): _Qwerty_, pahiram, ha. hehe.



During our trip to Subic last May 30, I managed to capture some stills. Educated estimates lang ito, analog kasi ang speedometer natin:

114kph - 3575rpm
119kph - 3740rpm
121kph - 3800rpm
128kph - 4000rpm
132kph - 4125rpm
145kph - 4500rpm

1b) at highest gear what speed(kph) is at 2000rpm (if not indicated above)

I think 2000rpm will get you around 65kph.

I have observed no abnormal vibrations at all. Even at 130kph with only 3 adults on board (average weight 155lbs).

sad new sir. alam ko pag fully submerged dapat palit lahat ng fluids (oil, brakes, clutch, gear oil, ps oil). tapos don't attemp to turn on the engine, mas lalong lalaki problem mo. patuyuin lahat ang mga parts na nabasa (lalo na electronic parts) hth

If the car was never started after the flood, it'll be fine, just take every interior foam/fabric out, change the foam pads dry every thing...

Take the ECU out dry it well and then clean with contact cleaner, change all oils, change battery, fuses, etc...

The toughest thing would be cleaning the radio and dash electronics, but seriously, just remove the sockets one by one and spray contact cleaner on them.

The damage would really be big if you attempted to start the car's electronics. There will be fuses popping everywhere, and if you do start the car, the engine block could have a big hole due to combustion.

But if you never started the car and just tow it off, clean everything and dry it, it'll run fine...

Hello po.......

Bro, kung mahigit na one year na avanza mo, malamang battery na yan. I had the same problem last week. akala ko grounded lang sa body. Kasi every morning ayaw na mag start(Tulak lagi), ginawa ko tinanggal ko yung cable sa battery para sure na maraming karga.. the next morning, ayaw na naman... Sabi sa battery shop, mahina na yung battery.. at exactly 14 months. Sabi ng toyota, 12 months lang ang warranty or 20K sa odometer which ever comes first. Sa nagpalit na ko ng baterya to 1SM, swak pa rin dun sa holder, also have to replace the terminal. Cost me P2,100 swapped na rin yung old battery, non free maintenance. After that... okey na ulit.

Btw, sabi dun sa battery shop, may tendency daw na m self discharge ang battery pag luma na.... which i agree afterwards.
