Ang Problema lang ngayon ng Toyota hilux. Overprice sila up to 20% compared to other brands. Front nose looks like a celerio. The Mitsubishi mivec diesel is one engine to match. Powerful yet frugal. Waiting for the hilux nosejob.

i do not think the 20 % "overprice" is a problem, if they are forming a line at the door to buy...
but i wonder... how many more will buy if the price were "more comfortable"?

from what i understand, the effect of sales versus prices, is more palpable in the basic cars' sales chats.

During my usual drive in the province, there are an increasing number of Hilux units out on the road as the weeks go by. Wifey's boss also put out an order for a 4x4 a/t variant, and he's on the waiting list.

Ganda ng Hilux pag naka-OEM 20s!!!

Looks classy and timeless. Better looking than the Ranger IMO, but lamang pa rin by far ang Ranger sa interior.

Dark grey or black if you enjoy detailing and know how to maintain a dark color.

Silver is the no-brainer color for those who cannot be bothered to wash too often.

I'm such a sucker for unpainted bumper and steel rims :D

Saw it at Toyota Pampanga too. Comes with a 5-speed instead of the 6-speed on the other 4x2 models.

You're gonna love my 1993 Sentra then. Still has the original bodyworks and unpainted bumpers... swapped the steel rims for OEM alloys though. :D

I think that's the upside of the relatively conservative Toyota designs. They age better.

Any feedback on those type of Nitto Tyres as fitted on the Hilux? I was asking around and the 265/50R20s that i get offered are either those Nittos, Achilles Desert Hawk, Federal, and Toyo Proxes. The Nittos and Toyos cost twice the Achilles at 11K a piece with the Federals being inbetween. I'm leaning towards Federals as I still have no idea on the longevity, wet road or slippery surface performance of the Achilles (since i drive on the highway often enough and in poor weather conditions too). If the Nittos are worth the double price in terms of wet road performance and longevity, then i'd consider shelling out the extra for those but if they're not far off from Federals and/or i can confirm how the Achilles really performs in the long run, then i'd stick with the latter two. If i recall they have the same temp and tractions ratings but treadwear rating of the Nittos are slightly higher (420 vs 400).
