Do take time to read the owner's manual. There's a section at the rear portion that describes the service checklist. This is helpful as even if you have your service down outside of the CASA later on, you know what to follow.
Always review the PMS list before giving the go-signal. Don't agree to add-ons such as additives, engine flushing or decarbonizing as that's what usually jacks up the bill above normal.
Toyota regular service charges are pretty reasonable if you ask me, so long as you keep watch on what is quoted. Repair costs of course are another story.Last edited by vinj; December 3rd, 2015 at 09:11 AM.

December 3rd, 2015 09:21 AM #303pag 1k and 5k pms, change oil lang. of course kasama oil filter. then check lang brakes, coolant and fluid level, check tires, check all lights and check for any leaks. yon lang. sometimes, mag suggest sila kung gusto mo gumamit ng oil additive. meron silang bagong product for the oil additive. pero para sa akin, i decline kasi medyo mahal. basta follow the regular kms interval ng change oil then no need for additives. thats my opinion.

December 4th, 2015 09:11 AM #308hindi ka ba nahuli. sa TPLEX, hinamon ako ng ford ranger wildtrak 3.2 na kulay orange. tumapat ba naman sa akin then steady lang takbo. mamaya iiwan ako then antay ulit then iwan ulit ako. kaya ayon sinagad ko na accelerator in power mode. lumagpas na nga ako 180kms/hour. yon naiwan yong ranger. then inantay ko ulit then iniwanan ko ulit for good na. kaso pagdating ko sa exit hinuli na ako. pag dating nong ranger hinuli rin. malaking abala at purweso kasi sa manila pa pala tutubusin yong lisensya. tapos may siminar pa. kaya lesson learned, iwas na lang karera sa expressway. hayaan mo nang iwanan ka basta iwas huli. at least na test ko kung hanggang saan kaya ng hilux. 4x4 with manual transmission yong sa akin.

Nope.
One thing i noticed whenever i drive north: I usually put in a somewhat quick pace (not hataw, but quick enough) and i noticed that when i'm using an SUV, i tend to encounter more SUVs, vans (especially Starex vans, and pick-ups na either ayaw magpa-una or will want to play catch. When i'm using a low-key sedan like the Altis, i just drive along on my merry way most of the time.

December 4th, 2015 06:26 PM #310Nagpa pms nako, walk in lang ako, dumating ako 9am naka uwi 12pm.. php 2,093 free labor at 1 liter, mineral oil lang.. pag synthetic 5k.. pwede naman daw lumagpas sa 1,000 kms wag lang 2,500 kms, sa next pms pede din lagpas 5,000 kms wag lang 7,000 kms..
Since you got this 2nd hand, its a good idea to change the drive belt (its cheap anyway). Also...
