same here. I like the looks of the original version
my sister had the first batches din, the non-dual-vvti... ang lakas din sa gas.
kaya ngayon tuwang tuwa sya sa consumption ng HR-V nya.
IMO, underpowered talaga yung NA 1.3L engine for our modern needs.

May 14th, 2023 10:25 PM #8965Body was too heavy and not a match for the engine, 1.5L was the sweet spot. I remember our neighbor in the 2000s had both a 1.8L Revo and an Expedition. He preferred using the Expe as the former actually used up more gas.
Anyway, I don't like the new look. It reminds me of a fat gecko or salamander.

Why is that? A/ t tranny was still primitive then?

May 16th, 2023 03:35 PM #8969I remember when the topic is tibayan, Revo daw panalo or the old model toyota.
Bakit daw ang nipis na ng kaha ng mga new models ngayon.
They missed those days daw na super tibay ang kaha.
Siguro naisip nila to dahil they don't own one, they only touched and tested the unit.
Sa sobrang tibay at kapal ng kaha, nagsuffer din fuel economy.

May 16th, 2023 03:46 PM #8970in my opinion,
they are now lightening the newer cars, to favor fuel economy and cheaper cost of manufacture.
also, as newer cars are expected to be "safer" and "more frugal to operate", manufacturers now prefer their cars to be completely replaced on a regular basis.
planned obsolescence.
the generic answer for all cars is, "yes but", i am wary of the increased glare that can blind...
