Guys, I'm using a Gen 2 with 85K++ mileage on it. The engine has reached "break-in" period ... IMHO

At 7k, medyo close to break-in na ito. Media units get revved hard a lot, and that actually helps with the break-in. (Wag lang saw-saw sa redline... :p

obviously, replacing the old oil with new oil, is non-negotiable. it must be done.
same with replacing or cleaning the air filter.
the ff. i have instructed them not to do:
engine oil flush.
synthetic oil (regular lang ako).
fuel treatment/additive.

btw, what free one liter of oil? never ako sinabihan niyan...

Tnx for this. Pati oil filter palit, right? I was given a claim stub for a free 1 liter mineral oil in my 1000K pms as a token of appreciation. We did not ask for this, inihabol lang. Maybe it is their promo at that time.

i always replace my oil filter every 5K, along with the oil change. non-synthetic oil ako.
the air filter, i instruct them to just compressed-air clean it. kung hindi na malinis ng hangin, that's the time i have it replaced. it usually lasts 2 or 3 oil changes.

A good indicator on when to replace the air filter, is when its inside part (to engine) gets dark.

For reference lang po ng mga hindi pa nakakaalam, here's the full tank method:

Step 1: magpa-full tank
- reset trip A or B to 0 to start recording the distance
- pwedeng sagad full tank or automatic lang, basta yung next ganun pa din

Step 2: drive it Grin
-bahala ka kung hanggang saan mo gusto i-measure, pwedeng pag kalahati na, 1/4 tank na lang etc..

Step 3: magpa-full tank ulit
-again, kapareho ng pag full tank mo nung una, sagad or auto
-pagka full tank, take note kung ilang liters ang nakarga
-tingin ka naman sa Trip A or B mo, then the number of kilometers displayed, divide it by the number of liters na nakuha mo kanina.

example: sa Trip A = 300kms/30 liters = 10kms/L

Nag try ako ng SHell Fuel Save kanina. Sluggish takbo and it does not really save fuel
Balik V-Power ako sa sunod. Mas efficient takbo ko pag V-Power.

sakin sir nasa 10 to 11kl/l. 2 beses ako ng check pareho ng resulta. city driving, di ko pa nattry sa highway. cguro sabado pag uwe batangas.

ang problema ko ngayon, nasagi ako sa edsa, konting yupi at gasgas lang naman. salamat na din at yun lang naging resulta. yun nga lang dagdag abala. sabay ko na lang sa 1k pms ko.

Sinunod ko naman s manual. Warm up the engine, then turn off. After 5mins, check ko na. Talagang below low level na.

Ok na. Malinaw na sakin. Napadaan ako sa casa at nagpaturo na din. Nasa dulo lang pala ng dipstick yun low at max level. :-) salamat sir

Might get this Vios 1.5G AT variant. May gas variant ba ang vios or puro diesel lang?
