Niky just an update on my previous post:
15kpl plus sa pure highway. Got this early this year on a long drive. ODO of my 1.3E AT was around 3,833km pa lang.
-25.444 liters of gas, 388km of road. (15.25kpl)
-15.2 liters of gas, 230km of road. (15.13kpl)
City driving is not so good. 8.2 to 9.2kpl. current ODO is 7,270km. note that I do have alot of short trips for this car (3.1kml runs several days a week)
last 3 full tanks:
-34.14L, 315km (9.15)
-34.04L, 302km (8.87)
-36L, 339km (9.42)
can't wait to see the results of your test!
I'm doing one of my "Aeromod" tests. This time, with front wheel covers, beside the grille cover and rear wheel skirts.
Initial results look good. Suffice to say, with my typical driving (doing 80 km/h based on GPS rather than the speedometer), I'm getting over 20 km/l easy.Just wanted perspective on what other people were getting. ;)
I'd say in normal driving 18-20 km/l is possible as long as you don't pull out to overtake often.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
The gen 2 1.3 AT Vios that we have gets 12 kms/litre on a mixed cycle. 19+ on pure highway. Mileage is 85K++
tanong ko lang vios owner, may masama bang epekto sa pintura ng oto yung dumi ng ibon kapag di ko kaagad nalinis? 4 na araw na kasi at parame pa ng parame. wala pa kasi akong time macarwash. TIA
May nakausap ako taga Toyota at baka daw battery or alternator. Sakto malapit na ako magpa PMS for 1000km, mapapacheck ko din. Thank you Sir sa advice.

Guys, I'm using a Gen 2 with 85K++ mileage on it. The engine has reached "break-in" period ... IMHO
Hi, about to bring "sparky" to the casa for his 1000K PMS. May I ask what are the non-negotiables and what are the things that the casa may suggests that I can do without. I know that it can be really expensive in casas even with their free labor and free 1 litter of oil. TIA.

What do you mean "non-negotiables"?
The casa has a standard template on what is being done by the technician (and the parts replaced, checked, etc.) during a preventive maintenance schedule. You should have a similar copy of that printed in your vehicle owners manual, and service booklet.
obviously, replacing the old oil with new oil, is non-negotiable. it must be done.
same with replacing or cleaning the air filter.
the ff. i have instructed them not to do:
engine oil flush.
synthetic oil (regular lang ako).
fuel treatment/additive.
btw, what free one liter of oil? never ako sinabihan niyan...
Do they still offer "free" car washes? Declining that will save you around 30 mins waiting time.
