Hmm. . . having second thoughts about buying my wife a Vitara suddenly. Was planning to arrange the bank loan papers this week. Any other issues with Suzuki's PMS? Can they legally void your warranty even if the official manual contradicts what the casa insists should be the service interval?

When we had our 2005 Suzuki APV back then, we did not have issues with warranty claims even though we did not follow the service intervals as stated on the manual. We bought the unit because we simply liked it. We kept it for 12 years. Served us well. Mas sirain pa nga yun Toyota Liteace namin na in my opinion, gave Toyota a really bad rep . . .

If some guys are making a lot of scam issues about Suzuki's PMS, let them cry it out if they will sleep better at night. At least Suzuki AFAIK, is not endorsing X1R and a line up of fuel additives on their PMS . . . that's the real scam for me haha!

X1R: something you don't need but if you'll jump through some hoops they'll remove it

Suzuki-PH's 3x-a-year PMS: something you don't need but if you'll jump through some hoops they'll remove it

same type of scam it's really no big deal. i simply voted w/ my money and didn't buy a suzuki. but it's DISHONEST to not call a spade a spade no wonder pinoys always get the short end of the stick when it comes to PMS policies coz people don't seem to understand what a scam is

if they saw thru the scam, and still proceeded, it wouldn't be a scam. it would be "poor judgement".

Better wait for the facelift. It's all-around better than the pre-facelift.

Also think about the parts availability, it takes a while kase. Like 3-4 months for a simple side mirror.

    just talk to them.

    semi-annual check-ups are just right.

first 1k pms, i just let them inspect the car. manual states.

    paid 150.

bought the car end of february this year.

casa scheduled the next pms before the end of june.

waited for their call as i went beyond the shedule.

after a few discussions, agreed to bring the car before the end of august.

was able to follow the correct interval.

still, the odo clocks in at 3800.

the car is still under warranty.

they are reasonable enough to understand your concern. you just have to talk to them.

Unnecessary effort just to "talk to them".

If you don't want 3x a yr PMS, avoid Suzuki and Toyota and the likes.

Thanks for the advice. Really like the specs of the GLX, and the wife enjoyed driving it during the test drive. When you say "them," are you referring to a specific dealer/service center?

One thing I'm afraid is they allow you to postpone your pms. But when the time we need to claim warranty they will find a loophole that we did not follow correct schedule. Because our warranty booklet have specified pms schedule.

You can still insist yung car owners manual. If they said pms booklet is important why car manufacturer did not synchronize what is in the manual and the dealers pms booklet. If they say defends on the country. Then why they did not made an owners manual for specific country besides its not a couple of units they sold in each country its thousand.

I'm not sure if service advisor signature in the warranty booklet is a guarantee for warranty claim. Only the casa gain from our pms that's why they allow you even delayed. For warranty claims the plant or Suzuki Philippines makes the approval

I have to check the warranty booklet if they let you sign in it. Signifying you agreed for the prescribed pms.

Separate ba ang warranty booklet at pms booklet nyo?

I dont own suzuki (not yet), but based on experience on a different car brand, SA will put a note if pms interval is lapsed. If no note, then that means warranty is still intact. Maybe a simple convo with the casa manager will help you ease your uncertainty.

The warranty and PMS booklets are separated.

Pms and warranty is one booklet. I think the sa manager doesn't have say on warranty claims. Usually they just sign and indicate the date when you performed the pms. I just think for warranty claim evaluation they can say we did not follow the pms schedule for reason to deny our warranty claim.

So far other brands like Toyota and honda i have don't have problems with warranty claims even if i did not follow pms sked. Usually our car are low mileage.
First time to own a Suzuki kaya no experience kung how strict sila. Because i read many negative stories on warranty claims on the Hyundai brand. Hopefully not the case with suzuki.
