Vehicle information should be on the door jam stickers. Now I'm curious if these are indeed from RoC

The car is still made in Hungary. One hint i can see is the battery is varta brand. And i read local reviewer says that some parts in the engine bay are made by Bosch. the head unit of gl and glp vitara is locally installed. Im guessing winterpine source

    Hi,

I am just a commoner with not much knowledge with cars. I just want to ask if vitara gl+ would be fit for those who lived on unpaved roads with muddy roads when it rains. Thanks in advance!

Depends on how real the mud is. Any amount of real mud and you will be better off with the old model, the grand vitara 4x4. Or a new jimny. And equipped with the proper A/T or M/T tires. Even the best 4x4s won't make it if shod with HT tires. But if by "muddy" you mean just dirty water kaya naman yan.

I suggest the subarus forester or xv. Para all wheel drive lagi. Safer in slippery roads

perhaps a basic four-wheel-drive (4wd) is your better choice?

Just normal after rain muds. Thanks for the help!

So in general would it be decent offroad? not really on trails, but just on roads like farm/forest roads.

Are you based in the PH? If so, where?

If you're always doing soft off road, AWD vehicles are suited better.

The XV is a good example (if within budget).

Or hope that the 4WD Vitara reach our shores.

Hi Thank you all for the advices.

Im from PH, pampanga. We live offroads kase hehe. Was considering pick 4x2 like dmax and hilux. Pero as much as possible for a first car, gusto ko sana ng sub 1m car na hindi sedan (kase sayang lang). Not really into premium feels so I felt like ayos tong Vitara.

If you have a picture nung road conditions or even a similar image sa Google.

Pero I think hindi naman super off road dadaanan mo, the Vitara will be just fine. Even a sedan will do just fine.

If you're getting the Vitara, just get the GLX. Mas value for money talaga vs the lower variants.

GLX stands out vs the competition, pero the GL/+ is just too ordinary. Price lang ang advantage (barely).

    Pikoy,

    Define offroad.

    1. Daanan ng kalabaw.

    2. May kalsada pero nabuldozer lang, ni isang butil ng graba wala

    3. May kalsada pero matigas na buhangin/compacted lahar

    4. May kalsada at nalagyan ng bato/graba

If you mean 1 and 2, you need a 4x4.

If you mean 3 and 4 the vitara can hack it.

    Hi,

**Pieces of advice pala yon sorry bois. haha

Let's say 1km of daang Kalabaw mix then bulldozed parang sand/land. then may concrete road na after. These rainy days kase medyo nagworry lang ako.

Sa 100k difference ba worth yung glx? After insurance na ba yon? then pa tint ko nalang yung sunroof?

Sidenote: Sedan user kase ako (pero park sa ibang lugar), hassel sakin yung mga speed humps sa barrio na sobrang taas (tingin ko di naman dapat). Di nabibigyan ng road justice yung mga sedan sayang
