^you can check with the dealer who did the PMS. Meron sila record sa computer niyan. My guess is, the previous owner did time based maintenance instead of kilometer based. Baka every 6 months PMS niya

Hi. After 5 years, it's about time to replace my tires. Is there a better tire than the stock Bridgestone? I don't go off-roading. I just want value-for-money. Durable with a good grip.

    TIA.

You can go All Terrain Tires. It gives you a bit more flexibility than just HT tires

Good PM I'm new registered but long time tsikot lurker. First of all I would like thank all of you who contributed and helped people like me to appreciate the Jimny. It has been my long time dream to own a jimmy whether used or brand new. I finally had the chance to buy one and I'm very happy I did, my Jimny is now almost a week old my only problem now is I want to modify it (install snorkel) but is hesitant because of the warranty issue. Any advice or motivational talk is appreciated. Heheh. Thanks

Ideally dapat wala. Are you shifting while your foot is on the brake pedal? If yes dapat wala. If meron pa check mo engine and tranny support. Pero bago pa rig mo. too early for either to fail.

I would suggest enjoy the rig stock for awhile. Know its capabilities and limits based on what you're going to use it for. Then do mods from there. Usually the first one most people do is to improve ride comfort. Stock suspension is quite firm but "rideable" naman. HTH

Question po about sa Montero Aux Fan mas malakas po ba talaga yung buga ng hangin nya kesa sa stock ng Jimny? Thinking of replacing my fan kung in a year or two para kasing magandang investment para sa lifespan ng compressor hindi sya masyado hirap.

Yes JIX, mas malakas compared to the stock aux fan. Achilles heel ng jimny ang AC system. Nag high pressure ang system pag naka tigil ang rig i.e. bumababa lamig pag nasa traffic. Most people do is to upgrade the aux fan and condenser to a larger one - aux fan pang montero (valeo brand yata 5.5k around ang price) and condenser na pang triton (not sure about the price). Of course this assumes na tip top shape rest ng AC system - maayos buga ng compressor, no leaks, and clean ang lines.

Dalin mo lang sa reputable AC shops ang rig para isang gawa na lang at hindi ka gumastos ng malaki. I would recommend Ave's AC shop in Speaker Perez QC near Banawe. I have all my rigs serviced there. Medyo mahal ng konti but quality ang gawa and maayos kausap mayari - si Rex at assistant niya na si Salve.

Another AC shop that has done good work on Jimny's is EDS AC shop near Mindanao Ave. I just had one of my Jimny's serviced in EDS to try them out. Ok naman service and na solve niya ang high pressure issue.

And a third one that's also recommended by a lot of Jimny owners is Carzone sa Banawe.

    HTH

    Hi Sir HTH,

I would appreciate your letting me know where the EDS AC shop is located. Medyo mahaba lang kasi ang Mindanao Ave.... closer to North Ave. area, Congressional Ave., Tandang Sora, or farther out?

    Thanks in advance...

At the 57,000+kilometer mark on my 2012 Jimny, the casa told me my Ignition Coil Assembly needed replacing. 2pcs. for P12,372. plus labor charge...

Hmmmm.... seems kinda early in its life. Also wondering if I should go to Suzuki on Banawe to save on orig. parts in the future.

Seems to me that everytime I go in to the casa for a change oil treatment, they seem to find something that's already malfunctioning and needs replacing.

And here I thought I had bought a sturdier vehicle for our daily city driving.

BTW: how does one get rid of the pesky pop-up ads that cover two-thirds of the screen and pop-up too often?!

Yes, thanks... any recommendations in the QC area, Diliman and Tandang Sora areas in particular, from the good people here would be very much appreciated. I don't drive nor get around much anymore, so I am not up-to-date on shops anymore.
