We bought our jimny last June 2017 and we use it for on-road use only. We go on a long drive twice a year (total of 1300km per trip) and we have done the trip three times on the jimny.

I am not a particularly good driver specially on overtaking, pero ang gusto ko sa jimny ay madali magovertake sa mga motor at tricycle dahil makitid at maikli sya. pag mga mababagal at mahahabang truck naman, kasya sya sa shoulder. hehe.

Ang problem namin is yung jarring (matagtag) ride lalo pag uminit na yung gulong tumataas ng 2psi at nagiging 25 front at 28 rear.

Hindi na namin matiis kaya after back reading on this forum and research sa google, nagpalit kami ng OME shocks (not including coil spring) sa RATS 4x4 makati (16,400, free install, 20000km warranty)

After testing along edsa and other semi bad roads around makati, nawala na yung jarring, swaying na lang at para sa amin sulit na sulit ung upgrade.

Share ko lang opinion ko at information from google.

    shock absorber tuning:
    Stock: hard
    OME: soft

    coil spring rate:
Stock: 120 lbf/in front and rear (soft)
OME: 146 lbf/in front and 176 lbs/in rear (medium to hard)

In my opinion, for a more comfortable ride, both shocks and coil spring should be soft (i.e. shocks: OME, coil spring: STOCK)

Next upgrade is to install a steering stabilizer/damper. My preferred brand is ironman 4x4, gaya ng sample ni CB sa previous post.

saan pa kaya makakabili nito? hindi available sa mga sumusumod

    dubshop
    ride offroad
    atoys 4x4
    dr g's
    199 offroad
    kurin

    thanks in advance.

Guys, consulting the gurus on here re steering wheel removal before I go break something that's not mine.[emoji4] What's the procedure on center cover detachment when there are no visible mount screws behind? Clipped? Thanks ahead![emoji120]

Usually its attached by clips. Try slowly peeling it off.

Worry not, sir! It's a '14 Jimny. Non-SRS. I'm familiar w/ the bagged 1s. They're usually fastened by some bolts & clips. This 1, I was kinda hesitant upon seeing no mount screws behind. Thanks!

Wala naman.. just pop it out.. wala din clip yan.. meron lang pegs. Pop mo muna yung top portion then yung 5 & 7 o'clock position.

^Bigla nga ako napaisip, eh wala nga pala airbag ang local Jimny pero yung shape ng center same with the airbagged. Baka may cap/cover ang screw hole, if not sekwat pakunti-kunti using pry tool, try kung aangat.
