Maybe the alternator was overloaded? You're drawing too much power? I haven't heard of a lot of Jimnys having alternator issues. I hope you keep it but then if it's what your daughter drives, it might indeed be better that she use a headache free vehicle to give you peace of mind.

The only mod I did was to replace the headlight bulbs wih LED. I also installed a new compressor last february. I dont think that would be enough to overload the alternator. The AVT sub also died down a few months ago but I didnt bother to have it checked as the daughter prefers playing spotify on her phone.

Right. Those wouldn't overload the alternator. I hope a replacement isn't too costly.

Saan un bro ninja? Sabi ng shop na dinalhan ko wala daw silang makitang brand new na alternator for the jimny. Wala kasi suzuki casa na malapit sa amin.

I read some reviews and the brand usually lasts 1 to 2 years daw. Dapat i-disposed na before that long. Abangan sa sulit.com.

Hi Jimny Owners.

Can anyone recommend a good shop for aircon repair, other than casa?

Just spent P20K sa Suzuki East Ave. for various parts replacement for my 2011 Jimny, including P5+K for labor, so I would rather not go back again. They also charged me P7+K for PMS *55,000Km pt. Masyadong harang, for what is basically oil change and tune-up plus a whole slew of "check-up" kung saan nagsimula "needed" parts replacement.

Would rather go to a more honest independent shop, which carries OEM aircon parts if possible.

Diliman or Tandang Sora areas would be great. Frigid Zone ata malakas ditto... any others?

^sir, try to check CarZone in Banawe. The owner also drives a jimny. Was able to talk to the owner and nakapag ayos na sila ng Jimny aircon using Starex fan + bigger condenser. This will make the a/c much much colder than stock daw. Try to get in touch with them to inquire. Name of the owner is Johnny
