have an alternator mechanic go over it.
if you are lucky, it'd just be worn carbon brushes. cheap.
if not so lucky, the electronics, which are also replace-able but costlier than the brushes.
kung mamalasin, the bearings! in which case, it might be alternator replacement. i know these can be replaced, but some mechanics insist it can't.

Thanks dokie. It's my beloved jimny and mostly driven by the daughter so I prefer a 1 time fix. Hassle din lalabas pa ako ng office para puntahan ung vehicle. I might have to considering letting go of it soon.

Yung ganyang problems lalabas talaga as the car ages. If may Xmas bonus na, you can get a new replacement alternator nalang.

But as the others have suggested, you can have it checked and repaired.

Bro, the same jimny that I spent a day at ceejays to have the aircon fixed. Ngayon okay na ang aircon, alternator na naman. Ano na naman kaya ang susunod. Pag ibebenta ko kay bro CB,kakahuyin lang kasi mas mahal nya jimny nya.

What's your odo reading bro .... just curious .... never had an alternator fail on me .... kahit more than 15 years na .... knock on wood ... but then that's a Honda CRV (with 100k++ km on the odo).
