No idea bro. Clogged system? Low compression? But the jimny is 6 yrs old and I got a maltese who sheds a lot and loves to ride in the car. I guess the hair lodged in the evaporator so I agree that a cabin filter would be ideal.

most likely clogged system nga kaya nag high pressure. did they clean your ac system? better look for the source of high pressure kasi masisira lang ulit pag hindi na hanap root cause.

i checked with a suzuki technician. was adviced na baka crack or shallow groves na yung belt. and also check the crank shaft pulley for play daw. mahirap din pala 4pk na belts.

^ Sir CB, can you help me confirm the PN#'s. I'm also trying to catalog the consumables for my future reference.

Apparently there are different serpentine belts, i assume ours is the longer ones?

    Thanks

Thanks sir for the confirmation. Mine hasn't logged 5K yet but i'm getting ready for the consumables. Maybe I could get Gates or Optibelt for less than that of OEM price. The cheapest of them all i've seen was mitsuboshis and they're sure crap due to shallow grooves. As for the air element, iL check around clover baka may Fram equivalent.

May copycats na rin ng gates.

Re parts cat, i just downloaded to****t somewhere but forgot what site. I think i got it from iso**** before it was turned down, its a 2G file iso image. I have shared it with the APV thread but couldnt find the link. Maybe i'L try to upload it on filehosting then put the link here(if mods would allow it), or I could burn you some on DVD just PM me the add or where to pickup.

Guys please suggest an aircon shop where you guys bring your Jimnys. I need to have my compressor replaced and a/c serviced. Not sure if the condenser and evaporator needs replacement but I'm pretty sure the compressor needs to be.

Initially was going for EEB Aire but they have a signficantly higher labor charge so I'm opting for somewhere else. Maxicon sana kaso super out of the way.

    Preferably near Pasig/QC/Cainta sana. Thanks!

I brought mine to one of the shops at global city near st lukes/S&R. I forgot the name of the shop but it is near ford motors and across net plaza/JP Morgan. They fixed my aircon system at a lowe than casa cost and even overhauled the compressor. It is still efficient after a few months.

Hello good am gents! Apologies for i cant read the whole thread. Im humbly asking for your input sand im sure this was asked before. I hope u still have the patience to answer my queries.

My 2 sisters fell in love with the Jimny. They love the ride height and the visibility. And of course the cute factor daw haha
Anyway they know the size expectations so its no longer an issue. They are new drivers so definitely they want the AT version. They want this more than the cheaper and practical swift 1.2

Just to give you a background, we are living in a steep place in Monterey Hills in San Mateo and the road is not quite smooth, this will be their everyday car though they wont be travelling more than 10kms. I think solid ang pang ilalim ng Jimny at di sasayad sa ramp ng parking nila. we dont intend to do modifications or setup or do some off roading, they just want to sit and drive and have fun doing so.

With that, my dad just want to know the following before he give the go signal:
    1. Safety - how many airbags? ABS/EBS? Overall ok ba safety nya?
    2. Fuel consumption city and highway average?
    3. Maintenance -
nagtatagal naman ba ang AC system nya?
Hindi ba sya prone sa overheating?
Being a Japan CBU, tropicalized na ba sya for the Philippine climate?
Maal ba ang change oil and parts? What would be the things to consider after 3 yrs? Which one is prone for replacement?
    4. Performance - ok ba sya sa akyatan kahit bukas ang aircon? Ano top speed nya sa expressway na stabke pa ang takbo? Madali ba sya iovertake if needed? Very tiring ba sya gamitin for long drives like manila to isabela?

No airbags. Safety is relative, it is dependent on the driver's attitude. It has saved me twice from deep city floods reaching up to the front grill while on 4wd. No water seeped thru the door strips with 60K km reading.

    2. FC = 12 hi way, 8-9 city

    3. evaporator and compressor gave up after 60km. Did not experience overheating. Normal 5k tune up sa casa around 4k to 5k.

    4. Aircon performance is excellent event during summer. Top speed so far is 110kph. Watch out for the famous wiggle around 80kph but that was fixed with wheel alignment and balancing. Passing slower vehicles is not a problem. Perfect for parking in small spaces and even climbing gutters if slots are no longer available. Not tiring at all for average built drivers. I am 5'6", 150 lbs. Took it to Baguio couple of times not feeling tired at all. A bit challenging when overtaking buses aling a steep curve but again this not a racing car.

    HtH!

so i had my belts replaced to OEM ones cause of the squeak.

malalim na yung grooves nung old belts.

after replacement, may squeak parin. turned out may leak pala power steering reservoir ko. nag leak yung hose to the a/c compressor, which in turn makes the belt squeak. will have my hoses replaced.

also installed cabin filter on the jimny
