just drove around with my new jimny. 5 kami sa loob ok naman. sarap i-drive. solid.

Have had 2 units under my care. Both are used in UST (flood prone area).

Test drive one first and decide if you think its a good idea. Try hanging out here at the forum. Maybe a Tsikoteer would be kind enough to give you a ride around the block in their Jimny.

Common problems between the two units:
*Passenger seat rattles when no one is sitting on it. Not so hard to fix.
*Seatback folding knob also rattles. Again, not hard to fix.
*Front wheels needed balancing
*No lock for spare tire and spare tire cover (I put in a locking lug nut to fix that)
*Fuel economy may surprise you. It's not a Honda Jazz but a Honda Jazz can't drive through bumper deep waters also.

Otherwise, the thing is next to indestructible if you don't abuse it.

Sir, about the passenger seat rattling, how did you fix that problem? That problem has been bugging me since we bought our Jimny two years ago. Had it checked at the casa and they can not seem to make the rattling sound go away. What I do is recline the backseat and try to lean it against the rear cup holder. Maybe you can help me. Thanks

I put a huge book on the front seat in the meantime. On the first jimny, we put some clutch pedal springs on the seat slide adjuster with the other end on the seat frame.

Havent gotten around to check where this one is rattling so the book works well enough. Hehe

wifey used the jimny today. while stuck in traffic sa santolan parang nag shake daw while the a/t tranny was at N. parang mamamatay daw engine. although idle was 800-900 at that time. tested it again dito paguwi nya and everything was ok

tsk 900K lol. when you get the jimny (when I did), you tend to tell yourself, wow, why I havent bought one for myself sooner. ang compact, ang manueverable so easy to drive etc.

and then comes reality, beep beep lagi maririnig even from taxi drivers. it seems that taxi drivers don't respect this car. tapos wala ako mapaglagyan pag marami dala, tapos pag nagmamadali ka, wala pa backdoors para lagay gamit, punta ka pa sa likod. tapos pag may mga lakad / outing parang ang tingin sa'yo nagdadamot ka magsakay eh kasi naman putsa pag may nakisakay as in sobrang abala, yun tilt mo pa front chairs. the entire process is just so not worth my time ... and then if they learn naka-jimny kase ako ngaun eh, ang tanong sayo oh bakit mo pinalitan ang Big SUV mo, anong nangyari sayo, ano na ba business mo ngaun. and their eyes telling curious, "naghihirap na ba'to etc.

jimny is novelty. I lost 80K bec. of that car. buti nga na-bola ko na bilhin ng pinsan ko ng flat 700K after 1 year pero 5Tkm lang naman use

maglift ,gumamit ng spacers,alang rubbing sa stock fenders?kabibili ko lang po ng jimny but rims
nya naka 17" at low profile tires..May Rims po ako nakita BERG Brand 8x15" at Meron din Orig daw na
SUZUKI 5.5x16",Ano po kaya mas maganda kabit?Nagtanung ako ng size kasi by order lang ang Tires sa
kaibigan ko so d kami makapagtest...Nagback read po ako but nalilito ko sa dami ng size?MT or AT anu maganda?

I have no intention of upping th joneses with the Jimny. Driving around in the Honda Jazz it replaced doesnt really say much also. Its a compact suv with big truck underpinnings. None of that car based crap I dont like also. Who likes replacing shocks, ball joints, etc every five years? In the Jimny you dont have to. Ride too tough? Its just like a Patrol so Im not complaining.

And it fits in height restricted parking buildings unlike my full sized Toyota.

this week palitan ko na stock na busina. malamang lalagayan ng fuse/relay yun wiring?. isa lang stock horn nya na super liit. parang busina ng everest hehe. balak ko yun hella na super tone na red yun casing

Yep. Do upgrades correctly, hindi naman aalter stock wiring, maglalagay ng bago at separate na wires. Forgot what horns are in the Jimny. Basta black at snail shaped, hella ata. Hehe

Pasensya napo ala ko matanungan dito ala pa po kilala,since kayo po ang nakakaalam mostly sa jimny...ty

I use the biggest ones that fit the stock suspension and stock rim. 215 75 r15 po. I use mud terrains. Rare size po siya and by order din. All terrain is ok for road use but muds are a better all arounder for the terrain i drive in.
