Nun 90's may vanette at nissan mini/micro pickup, kahit Liteace.

Para sa mga Entrepreneurs sa urban areas, sana magkaroon ulit ng brand new from toyota, nissan, mitsu, etc
1.3-1.8L gas mini-van with commercial oriented variant. sa commercial variant kahit wala carpet or bare basta may OEM aircon at
    400-600k ang price.

so far itong APV lang ganun. (at Tata)

Owner driven, mom&pop size, dun ako naka lagay.

In other words, gusto ko pero hindi ko afford Hiace or Nv350. Haaay

to add; sa high FC ng APV, meron ba ECU remap or similar?

Given the stock APV, what accessories or additional hardware needed to improve its fuel consumption?

I've tried everything for 10yrs to bring my matic APV's FC down. The only thing that worked are:
    1) Observing proper maintenance,
    2) Observing correct Tire pressure and
    3) Observing optimal Driving habits.

Observed all of the above and the best fuel mileage I got was 8.03km/l during night shift driving at almost empty roads. For 10yrs I've kept records of all gas receipts and have computed the mileage of my APV. Lifetime observed mileage is 7.01km/l. Medyo metikuloso, sensya na po.

I am currently getting 9.07km/l lifetime from my 2009 Sentra 1.3 a/t. I know it's also a known gas guzzler due to its heavy body but it gets more than 2kms/l which equates to 1.5 days more driving range that what I was getting from my APV. Plus, I get home more relaxed due to its comfy ride. Oh, I replaced its plastic single radiator (same as the APV) with a 2nd hand reconditioned bronze-top double radiator that costs Php1,200 installed compared to the Php30,000 plus I spent on the APV's bnew radiator.

    Macky,
Salamat sa payo, kahit di ka na pinuno ng tribong apv. contemplating on using baldwin filters on the next pms run. I'm itching to replace my ride, among them the new model apv. I just need an amphibious vehicle and she can hack floods without a sweat.

Careful going amphibious with the apv, the air intake snout/resonator/pre-cleaner is almost hub level. Front bearings is known to fail early, and its ground clearance from the underside is not so for offroad. Dami na dent ng AT pan ko.

    12vdc,
Only if i had to. The air intake is quite high, just above the radiator. Also its advertised that it can go though floods, above bumper level. I saw the photos posted on the suzuki Thailand site. And that made me chose her over other AUV's.

Yup, thats the air intake. But air has to travel from that intake onto the air cleaner inside tge engine thru that pipe that goes under, hub level. That tube isnt watertight. I know first hand since i replaced my airbox and inspected that pipe.

Salamat, 12vdc. I'll keep that in mind. Haven't replaced those parts yet, after 10yrs and 8 flood swimming sessions.

Check out banawe. Beware of folks selling stolen parts. Police apprehended some this week, using kids to do the stealing for them

Most shops with Suzuki parts are along Kaliraya st.

ok sir i sent a reply.. another thing i wanted to ask is bout the overdrive.. there's an overdrive button just underneath the button for when you change gears.. i noticed when i press it, an indicator lights up on the dash board O/D off so I'm assuming when that lights up the overdrive is off.. by default, it appears the overdrive is on every time you start the engine.. how much does affect FC? The gas indicator lit up shortly after buying, i put 500 pesos = to 13.4liters unleaded then i reset the trip meter to 0.. I've traveled 40+km since in modorate to heavy traffic and its pretty close to empty again which would mean FC is horrible.. I'll get a better idea after refueling 5-6 time and adjusting to driving A/T. It seems rpm is always between 2-3k.. I'm used to keeping it under 2k. hope it's not as bad as it seems right now

    Sir Havoc,

Just keep the overdrive on it by not seeing the O/Doff. When overdrive is off the light appears and thats for agressive driving it changes gears at high rpm it affects fuel efficiency. Just use it when your overtaking and dawnhill for engine braking. Just do a gradual accelaration and fc will be fine. One tip when your on first or second gear at 2500- 2700 rpm, quickly release the accelerator pedal then press again so the gears will change early.
I believe that the GA variant with leaf springs are more bumpy than the SGX or GL variant.
I also thought about changing the cpatain seats to a bench but have'nt search at banawe maybe theres spare benches at banawe surplus shops.

    HTH
