hi sir zipspeed, afaik foglamps into projectors can be done.. but you will be replacing the whole bulb assembly.. but you will retain the metal casing that holds the whole foglamp to the bumper..

its not similar with headlights that you need to open then install the projectors..

parang nag palit din kayo ng buong foglamps into foglamp projectors..

I did not notice it at first that the idle pulley was not in the correct position. Even the placement of the bolt
to the bracket was also not right. Have to go under the car again to fix it.

    Before

    After

Wish I had a lift at home, really hard to move under the car.

Good Pm po sa lahat ng nandito sa thread. I'm relatively new to owning a Suzuki APV. I got mine from my dad when he bought it 2nd hand from the bank. 1 year na din po sya sakin. Nasa 61k na mileage nya pero ok na ok paren. Good buy na din sya. APV GA 2007 model. I use it almost everyday and at night since Nightshift ako and sa Ortigas ako nag wwork.

Anyway, I have questions po about the car:

    1) How's your usual gas consumption? I average around 6-8 city driving, Ok lang po ba talaga to? Shell Unleaded po gas ko
    2) How much po ang pa-tune-up neto?I'll have my oil changed na po sna soon pati yung spark plugs and all. Taga banawe po ako kaso yung shop na may kakilala kame dati ay nag close na. Di ko po sure how much ang usual charge ng ganitong sched maintenance and medyo alangan ako mag tanong-tanong kasi wla akong idea sa price baka taga-in lng ako. :D
    3) Any idea if a 15k budget for a sound system set-up for the GA would be enough? Simple lang naman po gusto ko pero sympre better dun sa 2 speakers lang sa harap.

I have a lot of questions po pero siguro yan muna.

BTW, I follow your group sa FB. dami ko natututunan. I want to go sa mga meetings nyo and meet-up with people kaso pre-occupied din ako masyado because of the job. May Sat shift din kasi ako. hehe.

Thank you po and more power club apv !

Yes sir and the price is very attractive.

The one gallon motor oil is more than enough for the engine. No info with the manual
transmission but the automatic used three liters of ATF.

Had the differential gear oil change too.

^ LOL.. mahal talaga parts lalo na orig at galing stealership. source ko ng parts sa Caloocan, Pasay and Binondo, pahirapan talaga.

Sharing some of my maintenance DIY:

Leaky RR brake cylinder (rear is single circuit, RL is connect to RR)
    Brake cylinder Assy Ando R-228
    Part cost: P1.5K
    Labor: DIY

O2 senser Denso 18213-61J00-000 (finally fixed the CEL and poor fuel economy,i recommend to do this at casa. I did it DIY but wasnt sucessful removing CEL, my scanguage didnt worked to clear the PID)
    Part cost: P6.8K
Labor: Free, clearing of CEL charged to checkup at CASA

    FR wheel bearing OE PN# 43462-61J00-R // NSK PN# 35BWD24CA18
Cost: P2.3K, but since my FL bearing is starting to make funny noise, i looked around and found a store with original bearing for P1024, will be installing pag sinipag..hehe
    Labor: DIY
    No pics, nasty job

    Oil lube upgrade
Orig Baldwin Filter (I think i posted this somewhere)

very nice sir.. dami palang mga DIY'ers dito sa APV team...

anyone can provide information regarding APV's brake shoe? kung ano ang item number? or similar part from other vehicle? (shared parts)

we discovered that the front disc brake pads for the APV is being shared by the front disc brakes for the AVANZA.

Separate sir and by the way, I can hear a little humming ( umu ugong ) sound at the back of my seat when
I go above 40 kph. It lessen a little after changing the ATF and strainer. Do you have this experience? Still
need to observe it though when I can go 50 to 80 kph because it did got louder the last time I went 60 kph.
I thought it was the differential gear making the humming but when I put it in neutral and cruised at 60
kph, it went away so it's might be coming from the transmission? Maybe it needs an over haul? Thank you.

Never experienced that sir. All i can observe is my APV is slow and getting slower..
When i floor the gas, acceleration dont pickup that fast from 80 to 100, then i got some delayed shifts thou i can still hit 130-140kph top. FC improved from 9 to 11 KPL highway after i changed O2S

The humming sound of my front bearing goes with speed. Yours might be from engine and driveline or vibrating parts like unsecured seats. Whats the color of the old ATF, were you able to recover the fluids?

Before going to the big job of A/T overhaul, might want to inspect first the maintenance parts.. Check the driveline from engine supports, propeller shaft down to the axle and rear wheel bearings coz engine load also affects how they behave.

Thank you sir for the advice, I dropped by Suzuki service today to complain it again for
I had the chance to run the apv at 60 to 80 kph today and the humming ( umu ugong )
sound is still there. Their mechanic test drive the car and said that the transmission
needs to be over hauled and they have to check if the over hauling kit is available and
if not I have to buy the assembly. According to them the assembly cost 180k Php plus!
They also assumed that the previous owner did not do any maintenance requirements
for the transmission and thus, may have damage it already.

I called up Olympia Auto Supply and they said that they don't have this transmission
over hauling kit or the assembly. They said that they have ordered this over hauling kit
from the U.S. already but have not arrived yet and may cost about 12,000.00 Php plus.
They also advice me to look for an automatic transmission specialist for a second
opinion rather that following the CASA's advice. I asked them if they can recommend
    someone but they declined.

Sorry about the ATF color, when I checked the dip stick before the ATF was replaced.
It was not that dark but light. I can't remember the color exactly but my brother said
to me that it was still ok. Well, we are not experts and some say that the viscosity
has an effect on its performance also.

I called up other service centers and one said that the transmission bearing should
be replace and I have to bring the car to them for a thorough test to be sure. According
to them, if the car is not accelerating normally or shifting then there's something wrong
with the parts inside the assembly. But humming sound maybe be just bearings and
they can replace it. I well give this a try on Monday. Maybe if this was a manual rather
than an automatic, my expenses won't be that big!
