Suzuki APV [Merged Threads]

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking for 2din OEM stereo for 2014 APV. Baka may nag upgrade tayo na fellow APV owners. looking for the one that has USB and aux in. Mine still has the tape deck.

By the way, how do we adjust the A/F mixture? i'm running a little rich and my muffler has carbon. Or is it normal?

A/F is the job of the computr. Mixture will depend on sensor input so u'd better check maintenance parts first if ur suspecting for probs.. Common cause of unusual burn are clogged air filter, worn sparkplugs, o2senser, wrong fuel grade.. Apv's 2DIN stereo hole is universal,you could just buy non-stock with better features like nav,bt,mmedia,reverse cam, etc for the same price of oe.

Got new airfilter, new plugs. they cleaned the O2 with brake cleaner at Suzuki when we replaced piston rings and valve seals. using XCS now. sometimes there's grey to black smoke in the morning as the temp gauge goes up, but goes away when running temp is reached. no smoke on re-start.

ran 400km so far after the repairs.

you think maybe the fuel line is dirty from when it was burning oil?

oil used to get sucked in to pcv valve because the valve cover baffle was full of sludge, but replaced it.

I remember ur the one with top overhaul at casa? Smoke is normal when engine is cold but it should be white. Black is more of the unburnt fuel. More likely a restricted air maybe stucked egr valve or bad injectors? better hav casa double check the workmanship it should be covered by warranty.

Any suggestion kung ano magandang brand ng Leaf Spring pwede ipalit sa stock Leaf Spring ng APV Basic?

Same as in APV Type II, ano naman maganda ipalit na Coil Suspension?

Newbie lang po. Yung APV Glx AT ko ayaw magstart pero nag cra crank. Di ko rin marinig yung whirring sound ng fuel pump na dati naririnig ko. Could it be a fuel pump problem or just the ignition coil. May experience na po ba kayo ng ganito?

i assume sir that your apv is still within its warranty period? -- best is to have it checked sa CASA. its going to be hard to troubleshoot this kind of issue pag sa forums.

Had similar experience with my 8yo apv, engine wont fire when hot no whirring pump noise when ign key is turned on. Fuse were good but line going to pump intermittent high resistance. Turns out connector near the tank got loose and overheated over time,plastic con was charred up to the wire..dropped the tank and bypassed the connector..its running good again.

turns out the smoke was moisture due to the cold weather. on a hot day no smoke.

Where can we order wheel bearings thats not from the casa, and how much?

don't know if i'm just paranoid but seems there are more engine sound compared to before it was opened the second time. i know almost all faulty parts were replaced (except con rod bearings), pero may extra na sound talaga. specially when the car is not moving and its on either R or D. its not too loud but noticeable.

hope to get some insights. thanks again

I ask someone from CSP and he confirms to me that even his APV sounds like that. Its all because of the engine design ng APV yung parang naka slant(sabi nya).Pero yung grinding noise meron sa APV namin yan sabi release bearing daw pero I don't believe them kase every cold start lang yun pag uminit na wala na,Pero nawawala yung sound na Yon every time I press the clutch pedal Kaya parang sa transmission.Pero mag kaiba tayo kase Automatic yung sayo.

apvboy, thats normal- apv 2 at user here, medyo maingay nga ang apv and when you halt from a stop and go traffic mas lalong umiingay(maybe due to the fan running double and working twice the speed).

apv2 still loving it.
