hi sirs,

share ko lang, diba i used to have a very slow moving aux/condenser fan and i thought the culprit was the fan carbon motor bushings.
so i brought my vit 96 matic to Robinaire Car Aircon near Cainta Junction, as soon as i parked my vit, 3 mechanics immediately checked my aux fan.
first look palang na-suspect na nila na yung electrical yung problem. so they traced the connections,fuses, and connectivity of the wires to the aux fan and saw that the positive terminal line had no power. they traced the problem to the aircon relay near the battery bay (yung black na rubbery yung cover near the AC fuse).
they replaced that and immediately my fan worked na uli, very fast na uli yung ikot! 300php was all it cost (tama lang ba yung price?) and i gave them 20php tip pang-yosi hehe

btw, pinacheck ko if R-134A ba yung aircon ng 96 vit matic ko, isang look palang nila sa service charge valve ng aircon system ko, alam na nila kaagad na R-134A nga yung aircon ko. i asked if i need to have the freon re-charged na, hinawakan nila yung vent ng aircon ko, sabi di pa raw kailangan kasi malamig pa yung singaw and if gusto ko raw, pa-cleaning nalang para mas lumamig pa. i'm happy sa honesty nila and quick, no-nonsense approach sa pag-ayos ng aux fan ng vit ko
i highly recommend this shop for those living near our area.

dunlop 703 highway tires, yup 215/75r15 gamit ko ngayon. ok naman tahimik ang takbo, makapit naman for everyday use, di nga lang kasing porma ng mickey thompson AT

thanks sir bigbert for the suggestion sa goma i will check nalang.. by the way mkhang may bago nanaman ako problem, kanina lang nakita ko may tagas sa differential yung bilog na mukhang pakwan basa yung ilalim na portion ano kaya yun?

yung differential. baka yung gasket may punit na. pa under wash mo para makita kung saan talaga galing tagas.

I've read in another thread that one of the common issues with Vitara's is the steering pump and the whole mechanism.

How exactly do you know kung may problem with it? Yung saken po kasi palaging basa yung buong block sa steering pati yung hose na galing sa ATF reservoir. Hindi naman ganun kalakas magbawas yung ATF. Yung steering naman, hindi siya super bigat pero medyo malayo din sa gaan ng ibang power steering na kotse.

What do you guys think? May problem kaya sa steering ko o normal lang yun for 4x4's?

due to the age of our vits, yung mga hoses at clamps sa PS pump and reservoir nag kaka roon ng konting "pawis/libag ng Steering Fluid". yung sa akin 3 years na nililinis ko pag nakita kong libag na ulit and i always check the fluid level. di naman nagbabawas ng fluid pero bumabalik yung "pawis sa hoses". also check the clamps kung lumuwag.

yung bigat ng manibela depende rin sa tire pressure, size ng gulong, alignment.

as for ....normal ba sa 4x4??? nope, hindi lang sa 4x4 yan. even my 94 hiace nagkakaganun, pati yung lancer ng byenan ko. pero every time i check the fluid level walang bawas.

what you can do is buy degreaser, clean the area of the PS tank at Pump, to see where the leak is coming from.

*differential. kinapa ko sya kanina pinaka malangis banda sa ugtungan ng pinon shaft at joint, pasilip ko nalang sa mekanik para sure sa part, oil seal lang siguro..

Sir Impulzz, ano po opinion mo sa sitwasyon ko.
Ganito kase nangyari:

Medyo malayo binyahe ko for the past couple of days.. tapos I'm running 60-80 kmph on clear and long highways. Pansin ko lng after my trip was na'pindot ko pala ung parang may switch dun sa gear stick ko. Nakita ko kse sa dashboard na may nka'ilaw na OD na sign. All the while pala sa trip ko, nka'ilaw na ung sign na un sa dashboard ko which is di naman un nka'ilaw on my usual trips. Kinabukasan after my trip, mga 2kms pa lng galing sa bahay, biglang umusok na ung hood ko. Yun pala, nag'overheat na ang makina. Nagulat ako kse 2 weeks b4 my trip, eh puno pa ung radiator tsaka ung plastic container ng tubig at engine coolant. All I did was pinuno ko ulit ung plastic container at radiator ng engine coolant tsaka tubig. Ngayn naman, medyo nangangamoy engine coolant na ang makina tsaka ung loob ng vit ko sa tuwing ginagamit ko ito.

Ano po opinion nyo dun sir? Salamat po

naku overheat, well hopefully walang nasirang gasket at nag warp na head. better have it checked by your trusted mechanic just to be sure.

also check your ATF, if it smells burnt have it changed.

malamang naubusan ka ulit ng tubig kasi nung kinargahan may hangin sa loob, tapos sinara agad rad cap. when that happens pag uminit yung airpocket mas mabilis maubos tubig. you have to "burp" the system.

what you can do is while the engine is running get a wet rag and slowly open the rad cap, then pour in your coolant mix. have someone rev the engine a little. para umikot yung coolant and air pockets can escape.

as for OD. leave it on so it can shift to OD or 4th gear in long drives.

nagamit ko lang OD off nung nasa tanay ako puro paakyat so para hindi mag gear hunting masyado, off ko sya, but when i reached the parts na pababa na ON na ulit.

Wow! Salamat sa advice at info sir impulzz!
Pina'check ko na knina.. may leak na ung upper part ng radiator (ung plastic na part). Sa tingin ko, dulot un ng pag'off ko sa OD when I travelled * 60-80kmph on a long trip. Pansin ko kse noon parang nag'hihingalo ang makina, as compared sa nka'on ang OD na ok naman kahit 80kmph na.

ok na, pinon oil seal lang pala.. ayun wala na tagas ahehe... regarding overheat, pa check nyo po agad sir malaki gastos yan pag kumatok makina, hindi pa naman ganun kadali humanap ng local g16b...

Hi guys,

Need help. Parang grounded yata yung wiring ng hand brake indicator sa dashboard ko. Tuwing malulubak or mag sharp curve, umiilaw yung indicator for a moment tapos mamamatay din ulit. Feeling ko nag coconnect siya sa ground kapag naiipit or something kaya umiilaw pag nalulubak. Saan ko ba pwede tignan yung connection na yun? Feeling ko kasi madali lang siya ayusin. Hindi ko lang alam where to start.

May alam ba kayo na nagaayos ng speedometer? dkse gumagana yung ODO meter ko pero yung needle and trip meter is ok. Makati and marikina area sana. D daw kaya gawin nila filmars.

*kenn.garcia- Try mo rin bro sa reys electrical para wala na hassle sayo. 15th ave. QC. Ako rin may problem sa electrical ko, pumuputok yung fuse ng signal light. Napa check ko na yung linya sa iba pero ok naman lahat. Need time lang para ipa check ulit.

*impulzz- Try mo bro sa filmars, mga 2k aabutin kung palit lahat- brake fluid, ATf and transfer gear oil. Parts and labor na yun.
