Medyo OT: I think this is one of the issues i have with the Subaru's with the FA20 engine and CVT tranny combo in general. The FXT is rated at 235 hp in their brochures yet it dynos less than 170 whp on average. When i got my Q5 which has the same size engine, it was rated 252 hp in the brochures and dyno'd close to 240 whp stock. When i tuned it, it is now dynoing 280 whp.

Does the CVT tranny rob that much hp from the boxer 4?

Maybe Subaru tuned it to be a friendlier drive of sorts. The WRX CVT produces around 80% output at the wheels. I bet the JDM Forester SH will have stock whp output over 200hp.

By the way, they say that Audi cars tend to have its whp near to its listed engine outputs.

After a drive and turning my engine off, there's this sound I hear near the front grill. The sound is like a water drop hitting a metal plate. Anybody knows what that is and/or if it's normal?

Its the water draining from using your aircon. Normal lang.
