If it weren't for the fact that the Forester X doesn't have the center console in the back found in the XT, it would really be a dream DREAM car.... The cupholders and the space for chips isn't there... funny how little details like that are looked at nowadays.

1. Anong meron sa 2.5XT na wala sa 2.0X, aside from the engine of course?
2. Is the 400K price difference worth it?

If you have the moolah, the XT is hands-down the choice. Mas direct yung handling thanks to the lower-profile tires, more power, easier-to-clean upholstery (A LOT less fabric), more power (obviously...!!), higher ground clearance, shorter waiting list... and most importantly for our strange generation, rear cupholders... YEAH. Looks better too....

Is there an aftermarket 4rd row seat available? Is it advisable? Or better to look for one designed with 7 seaters?
We occasionally need 7 seats during long-drive kasi...

i don't think so, and i wouldn't advise it. if you want to stick with subaru, the tribeca comes with a 7-seat variant.

Thanks for responding, hajabah! Those rear cupholders sure makes a helluva lot difference. I'd definitely get the XT if I can justify it to the wifey.

Care to chime in, 2.0X owners? Performance, FC, ride, etc.? Anyone had a retractable rear tray installed? For how much?

No probem man. I'm trying to justify it to my mother too, since Im helping (more of directing) my parents to get either the Legacy Wagon or the XT, more of the XT. Yup, cupholders man, cupholders. :btw: the FC is (supposedly) 2 km/l down.... so that's one thing you wouldn't want to tell the significant other...

FC really depends on how you drive and what the route is. For my fxt, I can get it as low as 7 for city or as high as 5.2 km/L (super fast driving). The outlander 2.4 shows almost the same FC. Since its not equipped with a turbo, I tend to drive it slower thus saving fuel.

Is 400k additional worth it? Value for money, go with the 2.0X variant. You'll only be losing on leather seats, spoiler, "the rear cup holder" which we never used and color keyed side mirrors. Oh, you wont have the 230 hp as well since there's no turbo and the enigne wont be 2.5 (same as the wrx/sti 08). The 2.5xt is the model that won MT suv of the year and not the 2.0. It will sure affect resale value.

However if budget is the real constraint, the 2.0 is the best choice among 1.4M below suvs. Hmm, its acutally better than some within the 1.5 to 1.8 m range. ; ) The best about the 2.0 is that it has all the safety features the 2.5 has. Di na dapat standard and 2 or 4 airbags which some "luxury" suvs still have. Hay, the 2.0 has them all! There's one suv better than that though and its the 2.5 xt. So we're back to square one. hehehe

Test drive ka na lang nga ng 2. The fxt is a joy afterwards as well. If you're into modifications, then eto yung may saya pa after 3 years. : )

At kung kailangan niyo magtanong kung ano FC, di siguro bagay sa inyo ito!

Ang CRV maluwag tsaka Honda yan! Ang Tucson matipid sa gas. Ang X-Trail market leader dati yan kaya siguradong OK. Ang escape cute! Ang Outlander matulin din yan, ganda pa ng sounds. Ang RAV4 guwapo!

Mantsahin puti. It will get yellowish afterward and no amount of care or wax will fix it. Pagbukas mo ng pinto ayun, before and after.

Sa totoo lang, good choice is sage green. Parang limited pa kasi ilan lang kayo. MI does not order so much of that due to low demand. You have to see it for yourself to like it. I have Steel silver now. As expected, low maintenance and di halata dumi or gasgas. Medyo nanghinayang when I let go of sage green. Another nice color is the blue.
