Make sure the turbo is not leaking or failing. Aside from that, do the usual checks when buying a used car (suspension, aircon, electronics, etc).

Assuming the vehicles are of the same generation, they will be similar in all respects except maybe a change in audio head units over the years within a generation.

The FXT SH platform (2008-2012 global, 2009-2013 local) used the older EJ25 engine (2.5L turbo) paired with a 4-speed AT tranny. The newer gen SJ platform (2013-onwards) uses the newer FA20 engine (2.0L turbo) paired with a CVT tranny.

The SJ platform is bigger in dimensions compared to the older SH platform.

Hi, new 2018 FiP owner here. I definitely like the Forester, although:

1. Is there really just a total of one USB port (which is inside the center console)? The Malaysia version has at least two (2018 Subaru Forester 2.0 Full In Depth Review | EvoMalaysia.com - YouTube)

2. I wish it had the multifunction display (Subaru Forester 2.0i Premium Malaysia Quick Review | EvoMalaysia.com - YouTube)


And a question to those who have them: where did you buy mud flaps?

yung tunog is kapag kunwari uphill ka maririnig mo siya eh parang mali ang timpla ng gas and clutch (kapag sa manual maririnig mo yan madalas in uphill situation)
