Good day Subaru owners!
I just want to ask from you any advise on how can I better enjoy my Forester XT. I have a 2012 Forester 2.0 XS, i like it much the way i drive it but everytime i see an XT, I drool on it, so i purchased a 2017 XT last summer, the problem is that everytime i use it i felt dizzy with the stop and go with our metro traffic, i think it has something to do with my acceleration and braking manner. That is why I prefer to use my NA. Last October I bought a CX-5 2.0 and I did not have the problem i had with my XT.
Thank you.
It seems yung nangyayari is the turbo spools and nabibigla yung acceleration due to the non linear power increase, so you have to brake to compensate...
I think you should try to study the engine RPM and take note at which point nagkaka surge in power so you can adjust your driving accordingly and better enjoy the car during stop and go driving.
Has a lot to do with driving style in my opinion sir. Boost comes on around 2k rpm if im not mistaken. If stop and go just be gentle on the gas pedal.

Congratulations on your new FXT! It may be the last of its kind as Subaru did not include a new Forester XT in it's list of upcoming vehicles for 2018 and 2019.
On your concern, make sure your SI-Drive is on Intelligent mode. The car will have a gentler ride and less jerkiness in stop-go traffic.
The other two modes S and S# sharpens the car’s responsiveness to driver input.

Hi sir/mam! New to this site!
Need your advice and opinion.
Currently living in Cebu this year but will be transferring to Manila next year probably by March for training.
Planning to get a Subaru I.P when I go back to Manila.
My question is does anybody have an idea how much will the Subaru Forester iP be once the Excise Tax takes effect?
Need to know if it would be the right move to get the car this December then just store it for 2-3 months.
Thank you for the time!
It's not the right move considering the i-P Forester is an old (and expensive) model which will be replaced in late 2018.
As soon as the 2019 model is announced, those older model prices will drop faster than a hooker's panties.

Thanks for the reply. Do you think an Subaru XV would be a better choice? Would have preferred a forester for the space and legroom. But i know the XV is newly updated and packs new features.
Thanks

I would love to see them drop those XT prices come mid next year ;)

ToTL XV's are unicorns atm. Base models are easier to find, tho. Good bang for the buck purchase considering it's already AWD with useful driver aids and has no difference in performance with the ToTL version (it's even marginally faster than the Forester i-P).
The Forester won't be able to catch up with the XV's feature set until the new generation comes out, which is probably in Q3 of 2018.
An XT fire sale would be great to wait for if and when the new Forester comes out.

For Forester SH 2011-2012, anyone had their passenger airbag inflator replaced by Motor Image (due to the Takata airbag defect scandal)

Had the passenger airbag of my 2013 SH FXT replaced at BGC a few months ago. I wasn't aware of it then, but the SAs mentioned it when I had something minor done, so I agreed to have it done right there and then. Procedure took a few hours.

Unfortunately, my 2012 SH also needed its airbags replaced
