Yun ganyan ba "magagawan pa ng paraan"? or outright parts replacement na because the side mirror motor and gears are in a sealed case? Is it wishful thinking that MI would be willing to tinker with it first before saying "outright replacement"?
Called Fusion R just to test the waters - outright replacement with original parts ang sabi sa phone. I guess it's the same spiel for new customers to have higher sales?
Dealership and some stores prefer to have defective parts replaced outright instead of spending a lot of time figuring out what's wrong. It's practical and less hassle for the repair shop but of course would cause an arm and leg deal for the car owner. That's business.

You can try having it checked by electricians. Its easy to remove the side mirror motor, starting with the door panels.
Can I ask po if pwede palitan yung instrument cluster to the one like the 2017 xt? Pati po yung multi information display? Kasi po yung forester namin yung monochrome pa po
Guys, there has been incidents of FA20DIT ng forester na tunog diesel sa facebook groups.
The in house tuner of Fusion R is currently on the case.
They suspect it's rod knock, valve shims?, detonation, and even oil starvation.

The FA20 has a distinct rumble at idle. I have observed it in my FXT and from a WRX I heard nearby. It's not like a diesel engine though. It's not heard from the inside of the cabin.
Have you seen the videos posted in the facebook groups? Mejo bothering kasi hindi siya smooth pakinggan.

Mga sir which is cheaper to maintain? Forester or CRV 2017? Thanks in advanced!

A Honda CR-V would be a little bit cheaper to maintain ... spark plug replacement on a Subaru boxer engine would have costly labor ... and a 4x2 Honda CR-V would need less lubricants on the drivetrain compared to a Subaru all wheel drive ...
Yes. Also the timing belt replacement would be more expensive. Around 40 to 45k i think.
But the sheer pleasure of the XT will make it all worth it.

I canvassed around and got same price range at 20k. An option is to find a surplus/partout mirror assembly. Also puwede daw ipa disconnect isang specific side para gumana pa yun folding/controls nun isa. Imo hindi na worth it ipagawa sa price na 20k itong power side mirror lang. Ang problema ko lang is hindi ko ma manual fold kasi may gear lock sa loob.
