    Electric Parking Brake

"Drivers Seatbelt on? Check. No need to disengage the parking brake, simply press on the accelerator to take off"
A first for a production Honda vehicle, the HR-V’s new, standard Electric Parking Brake (EPB) is simpler, more convenient and comfortable to use than a traditional parking brake.

Engaging the parking brake now requires only a pull on a switch on the centre console.

To release the parking brake, the driver simply presses on the accelerator pedal, while the seat belt is buckled, and the transmission is in drive or reverse.

Or the driver can push the park brake switch again to turn off the electric parking brake.

The Electric Parking Brake makes hill starts easier when the HR-V is parked on a slope. As with a traditional manually activated parking brake, Electric Parking Brake functions on the rear wheels only.

HOWEVER, I found this in our manual.

Never drive while the parking brake
is set because this will cause unnecessary
    wear on the brake linings.
    Before starting to drive, always
make sure that the parking brake
    has been fully released.
Not the same na with the CRV. It will alert the driver to disengage the e-brake first when you step on the accelerator, it won’t move until you do so...

Is Carplay enabled on your phone? Check online for instructions on how to connect.

No, hindi pwede ang Waze sa Carplay.

Yup. If you use Carplay you're stuck with Apple Maps with does not have turn by turn instructions (for now) for the Phils.

IIRC ni-synch ko muna ang phone sa HU via Bluetooth. Di ko lang matandaan kung may notification pa sa phone when you plug it in for the first time asking to allow your HU to access the phone. Sa Android Auto kasi may popup window sa phone asking if papayagan mo sila magconnect. Ano nga pala iPhone mo? 6s ang phone namin with the latest updates and ok naman.

I've tested carplay using iphone 5s. I used a third party cable to connect and was able to access carplay in HU.

However, I'm using android auto because of waze.

Yup city driving, mostly around the areas below:

    Service road from Bicutan>Lawton>Mckinley Hill>Makati
    Some C5>Bicutan Skyway Amorsolo-Bicutan traffic

Well, I guess mixed city+highway pala.

Not purely stop and Go traffic, some very heavy traffic sa service road na stopped lang for 20-30 minutes, some lighter traffic sa C-5. So mixed city+highway cguro.

Meydo similar sa Jazz namin yung consumption so far, much better than my old Accord.

Ah ok. The best that I got is 6.3L/100Km going from Taguig to Pampanga via NLEX. Pero kapag city driving from Taguig to Ortigas route nasa mga 18L/100Km.

I have been using the XV for about 3 months now. So far, my average fuel efficiency is 6.34 km/l. That’s mostly city driving within the Makati area, with a few trips to Tagaytay and to Clark during the holidays.

The best I got was during the Christmas holidays - light traffic and out-of-town trips.

It is also interesting to look at correlation between fuel efficiency and average speed. Right now, my average speed is about 13-14 km/h, which translates to about 6.4 km/l. When I go through a crawling rush hour traffic, the fuel efficiency drops to about 4.6 km/l.

    That sounds about right.

Which app are you using to plot fuel efficiency? I'm using you manually input the data points, correct?

^^^ Don't expect great fuel efficiency if your routes is limited with Makati CBD, BGC, or Ortigas. Fuel efficiency don't apply in these horrendous traffic conditions.
