As far as skills.... is Kobe better? IMO, YES! They're both competitive....... pero mas wais si Jordan. No body can question his leadership and decisions sa loob at labas ng basketball court. Mas basketball-savy si Jordan kung baga....... pero at 24, bata pa si Kobe and he might learn to wise-up anytime.

this is what doc rivers said about michael jordan...

what makes jordan great is he WILLS his team to win, and WILLS his opponents to lose. by attacking them mentally...

basketball, as much as it is a skills, strength and ability game, it is a mental game.

lets just say na si Jordan is now a "Basis of greatness"...to be compared to the greatest ever player in the History of ther sport is already an honor if you ask me....Nobody can equal wat jordan has done and contributed to the game of Basketball....pro Kobe aint close to Jordan....He lacks alot of virtues that Jordan have...LEADERSHIP....nung injured c Shaq nde nya kinaya ung pressure so he is still far....IMHO.... "Michael Jordan "THE BEST THERE WAS,THE BEST THERE IS THE BEST THERE EVER WILL BE" maybe when Kobe turns 40years old and can score more than his age..and accomplish what Michael has done and contributed to the sport can i only believe that he is wat i quoted....02cents...:D:roll:

you cant really compare the two,
true MJ is the epithome of greatness,
why is an honor to be tag as
    "the Jordan of Off Roading"

it seems when jordan retire the 1st time
the nba is looking for the next one
grant hill? harold miner? (remember him, little mj)
    cedric ceballos, stackhouse
    2nd retirement, ganun din
    carter, kobe, tmac

now kobe came as the closest, fadeaway J,
smashing dunks, kaya it easy to compare
plus he has guidance from the zen master

even in the triangle, kobe's role
is the same as pippen's role
    sideline triangle 4 for example.

pero for me MJ still tops kobe,
but kobe will have his time

    and so is lebron james
the next one ( to suceed or to flop)

I think its better to compare T-Mac and Kobe. Although, I would have to say that Jordan is the better player on the basis of savvy, skills and leadership. Kobe does his thing on sheer athleticism. We'll have to see how he holds up in six or seven years.

I agree with this.....kobe might surpass jordan in terms of stats, championships, etc. but kobe doesnt have the charisma that jordan have.
