Most case clustering happen within homes or communities... Because many do not wear mask inside their homes. they trust their relatives and neighbours to be covid free.

The DOH added it has monitored a total of 887 clusters of COVID-19 cases across the country.

According to Philippine Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire, the DOH monitored 741 clusters in communities, 57 in hospitals of health facilities, 26 in jails and 63 in other areas such as workplaces, accommodations and transportation.

In Metro Manila alone, the DOH said 315 clusters of COVID-19 cases were monitored in the communities, hospitals, jails and other areas.

Daily positivity rate is around 13%, it peaked at 14% nung July 30. Daily testing done per day is around 25k.

I think mons explained and predicted this kahapon. Mababa count kahapon because ilang labs ang hindi nag submit ng count. Ngayon dumating na at yung hindi na count kahapon dumagdag ngayon.

Are we getting more efficient at testing or the virus is more contagious now?

Philippines begins Avigan clinical trials for COVID-19 treatment

The Philippine government said Tuesday that it has begun clinical trials for Japanese anti-flu drug Avigan to see whether it would be effective in treating COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus.

The trials come as the Philippines is also conducting clinical trials for remdesivir, used in the treatment of Ebola, as well as interferon, an anti-viral agent, to treat COVID-19 patients.

mas madami talaga ngayon may virus

kung dati they're performing 20,000 tests per day 500 to 1000 lang positive

ngayon 20,000 tests per day parin 5000 to 6000 positive

kahit anong spin mas madami na talaga ngayon may virus

there's nothing wrong with rapid test.
what may be wrong, is the manner by which its results are being interpreted, mis-interpreted, or manipulated,
either intentionally, or because of ignorance.

we're still performing around 20,000 tests per day

dati record breaking na ang 500+ positives

tapos naging record ang 1000+ positives

ngayon 5000 to 6000 pero day positive

but still performing around 20K tests per day

it's now much easier to find positives than before

that means madami na may virus

Apparently, the "model covid country" ran out of testing kits.

Vietnam capital short of test kits as national coronavirus cases climb - CNA

HANOI: Vietnam reported 10 new COVID-19 infections and two deaths on Tuesday (Aug 4), lifting its total cases to 652, with eight dead, as the capital Hanoi said it was running short of the rapid testing kits being used to keep a new outbreak at bay.

The new outbreak has infected more than 200 people since Jul 25, the majority in the central city of Danang, but it has spread to at least eight other cities and provinces, including Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, where entertainment venues are closed and gatherings restricted to prevent infections.

Doc i'm not the one against rapid test

i like the rapid test coz it's a screening tool to bring out candidates for swab test

nagtataka ako sayo Doc whenever i post about rapid test nilelecture niyo ako

i've never said the rapid test is a standalone diagnostic tool

i've never said that NON-REACTIVE (or NEGATIVE) means you don't have the virus

it could mean you don't have the virus or you have the virus but haven't developed antibodies yet

i never said REACTIVE (or POSITIVE) means you definitely have the virus coz there's a question a specificity

that's why pag reactive pina-paswab for confirmation

sa squatters mostly yata yung numbers? Korea snd japan kahit cold weather, mas maganda pag manage nila and less squatters na ginawang negosyo ang antibodies kaya yung iba gusto magpahawa=pera...

    i'm sorry.
honestly, i did not even notice it was you i was quoting.
whatever perceived targeting i have for you, is pure kathang-isip.

    at any rate,
    my statement stands.
one must be able to interpret the test, else come to a possibly expensive and/or infectious conclusion.

    nasa gitna tayo ng pandemic

    1 test doesn't mean anything

every 2 weeks yan hanggang meron na vaccine o hanggang matapos ang pandemic
