The number of active cases is rising at an exponential rate. Couple that with the 2-6 week recovery time for most cases and you clearly have a situation that isn't sustainable.

Even if they got those mass quarantine facilities running the sheer number of people getting infected will still overwhelm the system.

And it will take time to get those facilities online. Something needs to be done now.
Strategies talaga ng govt ang dapat ayusin. After 2 weeks of ECQ, kung walang gagawin pa rin plano govt ganun pa rin mangyayari.

Saka if mag ECQ ulit. Kaya pa ba ng govt magbigay ng tulong? It's not easy talaga to choose between the two choices.

Napaka bagal talaga gumalaw ng govt.

Yun ECQ na ginawa para lang meron lang masabing ginawa, they didn't took advantage of that time.

Tapos after iniwan na sa LGUs, bahala na sila sa buhay nila. Basta kami nag ECQ na kayo na ngayon.

    what is that saying?
"if you keep doing the same thing, why expect different outcome?"

you want good doctors and nurses?
you have to pay them good money, lest they find greener pastures.

marcos got it right, when he said,
"when you point a finger at someone, there are three fingers point back at you."
that is why he points at someone using his entire open palm.
    heh heh.

    paying the doctor is easy.
the difficult part is, giving him something to work with.

    OT, but
magkano ba take-home money ng average call center worker?

Hinde ko maintindihan bakit hinde na mag take over si dutiti? It's about time na siya na mag lead which is what he's supposed to do to maneuver us out of this pandemic.

Bakit laging nag delegate na lang? Kung hinde na niya kaya dapat mag step down and let other lead from arguably worst time of our country.

Honestly do you guys really thinks he takes this seriously?

Is he trying his damn hard and sincere like sabi ng isang member natin dito sa isang thread.

Kung ganitong klaseng leadership or lack thereof ang meron tayo, we might as well all accept our fate.

This is supposed not the time to be political, pero wala talagang ginagawa at walang pakialam yun leader na binoto to lead this nation.

People like to think that kasi manok nila yan eh.

Ang mindset, "binoto ko yan eh, so magaling yan kahit anong mangyari".

Eh dapat, "binoto kita, kaya patunayan mong deserving ka".

Kaya dapat mamatay na magsasabi na they still trust him to lead us from this pandemic.

Mamatay sana kayo ngayon pati lahat pamilya ninyo. Slow ang painful death for their family.

I'm not gonna be coy about it now. If I hear or read that they still support duterte, I wish them all death and their family.

    Melbourne going to full lockdown...

Victoria hit with over 650 new coronavirus cases and a record 17 deaths | Daily Mail Online

The looming harsher lockdown prompted thousands to flock to shops across Melbourne in a new round of panic buying.

Long lines and full trolleys were seen outside supermarkets as early as 7am - even though they would stay open under stage 4.

Under the new rules nearly all cafes, restaurants and shops are likely to close for a further six weeks.

    it's not bad to delegate.
i mean, he's a lawyer-politician and not a scientist. like many folks, he probably doesn't even know on which side of the microscope to sit on.

to delegate is to put someone who has the knowledge and expertise, in charge of the decision-making niceties of the program.

    but ultimately,
he's still responsible for the overall outcome.
    "the buck stops here."

yes i know a leader should delegate to those with expertise

i was replying to shadow's post saying:

Seriously? You want someone recommending we inhale gasoline fumes as a health czar? [emoji23]

Empowerment or delegation to tactical Managers should be engaged by a Leader so that he can concentrate on the Vision/Strategy.

However, the Leader should be aware that he's only as good as his weakest link. And should be ready to provide additional resources to help or if stamped as urgent, steward it himself.

Worst case is when almost all, if not all of the tactical Managers (LGUs in this case) are weak. We're screwed, big time.

In a theoretical corporate world, if the tactical Manager cannot deliver in an agreed length of time, he can be fired and replaced.

In our case, these are duly elected officials. And so....

I just remembered a comment of a very respected local leader, "mahirap ipaliwanag pero kaybigat itulak ang isang proseso,- mga hari at reyna ang mga iyan sa kanilang mga opisina/lugar...."

Not as DOH sec but to take over the over all IATF, mag join na siya ng deliberations, call all stockholders, kalaban and mga ass lkckers alike.

Hinde yun pabayaan lang niya mag usap yun mga tao not a them come up with a recommendation then decide.

He should be in the nitty gritty meetings para alam niya kung ano nangyayari.

It's time for him to micromanage, tama.na yun pa tulog tulog.

I undertand micromanaging is a bad managerial skill but if company is on crisis it's about time.

To be honest ano na ba talaga ang nagawa niya?

Yung ECQ, stopgap solution lang yan. Hanggang walang long term investment sa healthcare infra and capability ng pilipinas, ganito nalang tayo lagi.
