Just learn that 2 of my colleagues in same department got not just 1 but 2 positive on rapid igg & igm. Im now in a bit of a panic. I hope they are not positive in swab.... if you will not die of covid you will die of heart attack with this virus.

then you tested positive sa IGM and had fever and lost your sense of smell/taste

no i mean i've heard more that 2 or 3 people tell me already they know someone who tested negative sa rapid test pero nag positive sa swab

isa dun ka-golf ng friend ko nag positive sa swab (prior to the swab nag negative daw sa rapid)

kinabahan ung friend ko nag pa-swab siya sa chinese gen and self quarantine

the two tests (rapid-antibody and not-rapid-antigen) are designed to detect for two different things.
and while it is convenient to believe that the results are cut-and-dry-identical,
in truth, they are not.
we have to contend with overlap and the so-called window period, in the interpretation of these two tests.

second-hand information is unreliable.
in our own institution, where supposedly learned folks abound,
the initial verbal report ("non-reactive") is not supported by the subsequent written report ("reactive").

Yes Im prepared that time to accept that I have covid but the result of swab test tell me otherwise. It is just hard to live in this new normal the cycle of rapid testing, swab test, self isolate just keeps on repeating even if you have recovered from covid.

ok -- PCR looks for viral DNA

SARSCOV2 is a RNA virus so the lab uses reverse transcriptase enzyme to convert RNA to DNA before running the test

since the particles are so small... PCR amplifies the viral DNA hanggang makita

kaya PCR results have to be read/interpreted

RAPID TEST PROBLEM:

antibodies don't show up when you just got infected

it depends on the swab

if the swab doesn't pick up any virus, then the PCR won't detect any

what if na-swab ung patient 2 or 3 weeks after infection

baka wala na siya virus sa ilong at lalamunan pero meron sa lungs where the swab cannot reach

antibody test should be about a week AFTER infection para sigurado meron na antibodies

PCR din meron nagsabi dapat 8 days after infection

ang problema usually di alam ng tao kailan nila na-inhale ng virus

so you could be walking around with the virus in your nose but you'll test negative in both rapid and PCR

a good recipe to spread the china virus!
kung meron lang isang daan na positive dyan it will surely spread just like wildfire.

napabalita noon na vietnam can perform 40k test per day, 3 to 4 days meron na silang results at pin pointed na and positive. bakit di nila ginawa before send them back home? mas sila ang nakakaalam sa sagot ng tanong na iyan.

My SC aunt is positive. Nakaadmit ngayon, with pneumonia. Pero sabi ng doc, hindi pa malala at naagapan daw.

1st swab, negative pero sa 2nd swab, positive na

Hindi lumalabas auntie ko, anak niya lang lumalabas ng bahay, so most likely, dala ng anak niya pero walang symptoms anak niya. Ngayon naka isolate na pinsan ko.

Hope she recovers soon. Ganyan din nangyari sa kilala ko. Di lumalabas yung mag-asawang SC. Pero yung mga anak pumapasok sa office at doon din umuuwi sa kanila. Asymptomatic pala yung mga anak. Both have been hospitalized.

Best have separate living arrangements for people still going out for work.

So may lapses mga anak while they are outside?

kahit pa kasi naligo ka after lumabas and iwan kahat ng damit sa labas pero the virus went inside you body na pala while you are outside, madadali mga kasama mo sa bahay...

Ang pag-asa na lang talaga is isolation sa lahat na lumalabas... bushet china...

Buti nawala na yung plegm ko sa throat, warm lemon and ginger everynight...
