    it's common knowledge,
    government institutions take an awfullly long time to move.
    private institutions move much faster.

    govt hospital:
    "sir (hospital director), let's put up a facility for..."
    "pag-usapan natin sa miting next month. maglabas ka ng memo. pa-attend natin sina... tingnan natin kung may budget... personnel..floor space..."
    "sir! we have to move fast!"
    "talagah? sige, miting in three days or next week, wherever everybody comes complete."
    it takes dedication and effort to effectively cut thru government red tape.

    private hospital:
    "kap, let's set up a facility for..."
    "kikita ba yan?"
    "yes, sir!"
    "aprub! ilan gusto mo?"

    heh heh.

    just taking only the word of my Malaysian colleague here in Brunei.
    aggressive contact tracing and isolation. those without symptoms are home-quarantined and with symptoms were admitted for observation/testing. all positives are segregated & treated in hospital! which is i think the ideal way of handling this outbreak.

    imo, their healthcare system and infrastructure is a notch higher than us.
    when i was in thailand circa 2000, our company has given us a very good health insurance package and this is mandatory to all workers.

    This is seriously alarming.

    Infectious disease expert: We're only in the second inning of the pandemic

    (CNN) - Infectious disease expert Michael Osterholm, who has been warning for a decade and a half about the possibility of a global pandemic, said the coronavirus we're fighting is at least as infectious as the one that killed an estimated 50 million people in the 1918 flu worldwide outbreak.
    He said we're only in the second inning of a nine-inning contest, with the possibility of as many as 800,000 deaths or more in the US over the next 18 months.

    we once had to consult for minor illness, when we were in malaysia as tourists.
    we went to the hospital.. queued in a very short line in the comfortable waiting area.. seen by the MD.. given prescription!
    all in less than 30 minutes! and the prescribed medicines given by their pharmacy were free!
    nakaka-ingget.

    This is suspect. Why would anyone conduct a study of coronavirus and testicles during this pandemic? Unless it was sponsored by the Global Depopulation efforts!

    best time to study it, is now! while we still have the "experimental animals".

    one possibility they want to study, is if the testis can serve as "protected sanctuary" for the covid 19 virus. it suggests the possibility that the epidemic might re-erupt in the near-future, or be passed on to offspring.
    it might also result to infertility.

    10,000 cases

    1,016 new coronavirus cases take Singapore tally past 10,000 mark, Singapore News & Top Stories - The Straits Times

    Singapore has seen a spike in cases recently, mainly driven by an outbreak among foreign workers staying in dormitories, as well as aggressive testing of workers living in such dormitories by the authorities.

    The MOH said on Tuesday that the number of new cases in the community has fallen to an average of 28 per day in the past week, from an average of 39 cases per day in the week before.

    While the number of Covid-19 cases in the community has fallen in recent days, the number of unlinked cases has not come down, suggesting that there is a "larger, hidden reservoir" of cases, said Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Tuesday.
