People across US say anti-malaria drug helped them recover from COVID-19 | Daily Mail Online

'Miracle' malaria drug touted by Trump saved me from coronavirus, claim Americans: Infected patients across US say hydroxychloroquine helped them recover – despite experts' insistence evidence of its effectiveness is slim

New York will start trials for anti-malaria drug Tuesday, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said
The drug, hydroxychloroquine is used to treat malaria, as well as some non-infectious inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis
Several people have come forward saying the drug has helped fight COVID-19
Rio Giardinieri, of Florida, said the drug 'saved his life' after he testes positive
Margaret Novins, of New Jersey, also said the medication made her feel better
There are currently no approved treatments or preventive vaccines for the virus
Researchers are studying existing treatments and working on experimental ones, but current patients receive only supportive care like breathing assistance
Coronavirus symptoms: what are they and should you see a doctor?

Lost star Daniel Dae Kim: Hawaii

Taking to Instagram on Saturday evening the 51-year-old said he felt 'back to normal' and had not needed hospital treatment.

Kim, who will remain in self-isolation until Monday, claimed to 'have no symptoms' other than congestion and believes that the antimalarial drug Hydroxychloroquine was the 'secret weapon' to his recovery.

'I am happy to report that my progress has continued and I practically feel back to normal. I am lucky enough to be in the 80 per cent of diagnosed cases that have not required hospitalization,' revealed the Hawaii-based actor in the nearly seven-minute video.

Kim's personal physician prescribed him a 'drug cocktail' that consisted of the antiviral medicine TamiFlu, the antibiotic Azithromycin, a Glycopyrrolate inhaler, and the antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine.

Though all of the medicines worked in conjunction to aid in Kim's healing process, the actor stated that hydroxychloroquine was the 'secret weapon.'

According to Kim, the drug 'has been used with great success in Korea in their fight against the coronavirus'.

Dr Susan Mercado - Public Health Expert.

    - Currently 48% of filipinos are vitamin D deficient and that means our immune system are not working at par and we can improve that by people spending minimum 20minutes in the sun.

    - The senior should get sunshine.

Government should really consider mass testing. There is a case in Laguna, a woman working in a cruise ship who returned last week of February 2020 and was just confirmed yesterday. So she was asymptomatic for almost a month, healthy, moving around, and probably infecting many more.

Sino nga ba yung nag comment in the past na kaya ang bilis ng spread kasi masyado ng connected ang mundo like it's so easy to travel/fly

Ganyan ginagawa ng sister ko pag kauwi galing hospital. After maligo and everything nag bibilad sa araw w/in the compound. Or the morning after kung gabi na dumating.

Kaya ako nagsimula mag gardening ng afternoon para maka hagilap ng sunshine at ma relax na din at makalimot ng koonti from all this madness

Btw, re the post i made earlier about the idle shipment of medical equipment at customs, nakarating na daw sa gov't hospital/s courtesy of veep leni r.

    tama.

May nabasa ako pag nababad sa araw eh wag agad maliligo kasi mawawash off yung vitamin d sa skin. Kasi it takes 48hours to absorb by the skin pero may debate pa jan.

So tama, naliligo muna tapos magpapa-araw na tapos hindi na ako maliligo ulit on the same day.
