you don't even have to be coughed at or sneezed at

just breathing in the exhale of someone infected can infect you

you only have to be breathing the same air

    maraming ganyan.

if my job description included entertaining folks who may be harboring disease,
i'd wear a mask and gloves, too.
covid 19 isn't the only disease in town.

Pag lumabas daw hinde kailangan if no symptoms and one is relatively healthy. Ilang beses ni-remind yan.

if that cotton bud under his finger is any indication,
it's probably a rapid antibody test, to detect antibodies attuned to the virus.

Hi tsikoteers, kindly stop buying/hoarding plaquenil or chloroquine since these wont help you. Worse is people who actually need them may DIE since you’ve deprived them of these drugs.
Hindi lang sya pang-malaria but lupus patients take them regularly and some are already complaining that they cant find them in drugstores anymore.
One big side effect of these drugs is permanent blindness!
    Thanks for understanding tsikoteers

i think they're saying di mo kailangan ng mask pag healthy kasi may shortage ng mask

ayaw nila lahat ng tao mag agawan sa mask

pero since this virus can be spread by asymptomatic people dapat lahat ng tao naka mask

yan ang rule sa ibang bansa sa Asia... lahat kailangan naka mask

pansin ko dito sa PH ang psychology ng tao who wear mask is coz they're afraid of catching the virus

so nangyayari is those who don't take the virus seriously don't wear mask

ang tamang psychology ayaw mo makahawa

dapat iassume ng lahat ng tao pati ang gobyerno na lahat ng tao infected so dapat bawal ang hindi naka mask

that will bring down the number of infections

    ---

i know i know wala nga mabiling mask

i'm only saying yan ang dapat

    "too early to tell."
as someone alluded to, especially in the midst of the epidemic, "premature partying".

    Yung exhaled air nakakahawa?!?

So if there is an infected person on a plane with 100 passengers, hawa na yung 100?!? Kung ganyan na pati exhale lahat nga eventually magkakaron ng virus and we should expect that we will lose all our elderly loved ones. May natira bang matanda sa Wuhan?

if the virus is aerosol-borne, the hepa filter the plane is equipped with, should clean up the air.
but if the virus is truly airborne, as per scientific definition, then the ordinary hepa filter won't be able to successfully clean the air.
that is why, authorities are very much concerned on whether covid 19 is aerosol-borne or airborne.

    exactly

buti sana if you tested negative after the epidemic

masasabi mo pa na swerte ka you never caught the virus DURING the epidemic

pero we're in the middle of a f#cking epidemic and you're celebrating a negative test?!

so ano gagawin mo from now on?

wrap yourself in plastic and never leave your room?

diba when a plane passenger tests positive the gov't tries to contact fellow passengers?

i dunno i think they contact only those seated around the person not everyone on the plane

    -

    hindi lahat ng infected namamatay

meron pa nga elderly nakaka recover

Doc, when gov't finds out a plane passenger in infected, they trace the passengers seated close to the person

gov't doesn't assume the filter will do its job

    And One PCR machine...

The thermal cycler (also known as a thermocycler, PCR machine or DNA amplifier) is a laboratory apparatus most commonly used to amplify segments of DNA via the polymerase chain reaction (PCR).

Thermal cyclers may also be used in laboratories to facilitate other temperature-sensitive reactions, including restriction enzyme digestion or rapid diagnostics.

The device has a thermal block with holes where tubes holding the reaction mixtures can be inserted. The cycler then raises and lowers the temperature of the block in discrete, pre-programmed steps.

3 COVID-19 patients in QC sent home due to lack of space in health facilities: mayor | ABS-CBN News
Belmonte said the 3 belongs to urban poor communities and the city government is finding a way to extract the patients to prevent the spread of the virus.

"They're all confirmed positive," she told ANC, adding, "They are not admitted. So, that’s a little shocking and a little disturbing, I think."

"They are showing, fortunately, just very, very mild symptoms. And I think, probably, they might be asymptomatic that's why also there's a little bit of lack of concern to isolate them in a facility," Belmonte said.

Two of them have manageable conditions, while the other is in a "quite congested" area
