Iran: Coronavirus Kills the 'Butcher of Tehran'

Matindi talaga tong Coronavirus. Pumapatay ng masamang damo.

Coronavirus has killed a high-profile leader in Iran responsible for the U.S.-designated terrorist group Basij Forces, the Iranian news agency Tasnim confirmed. Mohammad Haj Abolghasem, a senior commander, was known as the ‘butcher of Tehran’ for his role in the bloody suppression of pro-democracy protests that began in November 2019, the Iranian exile group said.

Abolghasem’s Basij Forces took active part in crushing anti-regime protests. Over 1,500 Iranians were killed by the pro-regime forces during the clampdown. Basij and pro-regime forces were involved in gunning down unarmed protesters. They even used sharpshooters, as well as machine guns mounted on helicopters and pickup trucks, to shoot into crowds.

^ Hope their actions and policies would be a model for other countries. If indeed successful.

State using Police Power is not unjustifed in cases of emergency. When the situation boils over in the Philippines, the government is justified in forced quarantine or other measures it deems to be necessary though killing would of course be out of the question unless for self-defense. Pero hindi yung lockdown ng bahay mismo na hindi ka na makalabas.

That is why ngayon pa lang dapat may policy na sila na kung what instances lang puwede may lumabas ng bahay if may lockdown. Like throwing trash or buying essential stuff if the government cannot provide for such (buyers or stuff etc.)
Situations of standalone houses, villages, condo, hotels and establishments of the same must also be thought of. Since this is unprecedented kawawa talaga government natin at mga taong maaapektuhan. I hope the government is already monitoring the effectiveness of policies being inplemented in countries with many cases like China, Italy, Japan and Skorea(just as posted by Mons).

Though it is a cinch that people would violate these emergency rules and policies and that is when we will see how the state will respond. Information dissemination is crucial to explain what is being done and what is the reason for it. Mas madali ma-control ang tao kung ganun somehow. Though this is just speculations of course. Again this is unprecedented but hopefully, like MERS and SARS, this will not escalate anymore. Problem is this is highly contagious and difficult to detect.

Of all countries i think South Korea's data is the most accurate

    i mean ung fatality rate

coz they test so many people, lumalabas na most cases aren't serious

    they have 0.6% fatality rate

the reason why mataas ang fatality rate sa ibang bansa coz they only test the sick ones (those who have symptoms so bad that they have to go to hospital)

eh malala na mga yan so chances are many of them will die

if you test more people you'll get those without symptoms and mild symptoms they're unlikely to die so mas mababa ang lalabas na fatality rate

Nothing unexpected. Building (and ship) air conditioning is basically recirculate lang, so the (possibly) contaminated air inside ikot lang ng ikot with hardly any fresh air getting in.
