I dread going to the vaccination site for the second shot! The seniors here were supposed to have it today but were rescheduled for tomorrow. Okay lang ba yun to get the shot at 29 days instead of 28 days?

It looks like marami na talagang tao that are getting vaccinated. I had my second shot 2 weeks ago, nag walk in lang ako and done in 30 mins (no schedule)



I watch her vlog sometimes, ang alam ko American siya e. Baka sa Canada kasi siya nagpa surrogacy?



Ang maganda lang sa China vaccine mas malaki ang sample size unlike the rest of the vaccines pero mataas pa rin death rate 14 to 20%

Anyway, I would rather China Vac than Astra, mukhang delikado nga yung Astra

American, she mentioned in her vlog na she grew up in NY (or new jersey) saka sa US siya nag work din. Pwede ba yun multiple citizenship? But anyway, sana she completed her vaccine na lang where she got it para wala ng issue. Yung isang shot na ma excess, i raffle na lang sa na sinovac haha

I think that term was coined because majority of the vaccines we have (Sinovac) doesn't seem to block virus transmission well, as in the case of Chile.

Ang vulnerable will be the unvaxxed. These include the children. How can they distinguish vaxxed from not? Isa pa, knowing how the infection is transmitted, how can they allow seniors to dine indoors?

Latest REAL WORLD data on vaccine EFFECTIVENESS (versus efficacy which is from clinical trials) shows that Pfizer, Sinovac and Astra are ALL EQUALLY effective in preventing symptomatic and severe disease.

Pfizer effectiveness data: Up to 90 to 95% effectiveness in preventing symptomatic disease in real world studies from Israel and the USA. Up to 100% effective in preventing death.

Astra effectiveness data: Up to 90% effectiveness in preventing symptomatic disease in real world studies from UK. Up to 100% effective in preventing death.

Sinovac effectiveness data: Up to 94% effectiveness in preventing symptomatic disease in real world studies from Chile and Indonesia. Up to 100% effective in preventing death.

Of course there are differences. Issues in logistics - Pfizer requires ultra low temperatures, so it is difficult to roll out. The studies on prevention of asymptomatic disease are ongoing but early indications are that most vaccines do prevent at least some asymptomatic disease - this was enough for US CDC to drastically modify mask mandates for the fully vaccinated. Cluster trials to see interruption of community transmission are ongoing, the most advanced of which is Sinovac in Serrana in Brazil - prelim data is encouraging and primary outcome data is due this May.

Vaccines work and they work well. All the vaccines we have currently will significantly prevent symptomatic and severe disease and will interrupt at least some transmission. Protecting the most vulnerable, especially our seniors will allow us to cautiously dial back our restrictions. If we get a substantial number of seniors vaccinated, we can seriously consider letting them out and letting the kids out and start school as well. When Israel was able to vaccinate 50% of their seniors, deaths and cases drasticaly went down. A2 group (seniors) is at less than 10% vaccinated currently and there is substantial hesitancy. Please, please, please help us convince our seniors to get ANY vaccine available NOW. Fully vaccinating this group is the key to everyone's freedom.
