Safe kaya sa senior ang sinovac or should I wait for novavax/moderna na lang? Kasi my Mom and second Mom got a schedule already e my second Mom had covid symptoms nung last week of March, I don't know naman how to reschedule

They don't go out naman so baka safer not to take vaccine?

To people in the medical field here, is 3M 8210 cleared for use in covid frontlines? I know this is a non medical N95 respirator and it was just given an EUA by the US FDA for medical use but does anyone know if this is better than the more commonly used supposedly medical grade KF94 and KN95 masks?

Asking because I'd like to donate some to our local medical front liners. A lot of them are just wearing surgical masks. My source of medical 1860 3M respirators has run out.

someone posted percentages here, some time ago.
as i recall, the face shield + mask was more advantageous than mask alone.
but the difference was about 1% only.

My dad (77yo) just had his 1st dose of sinovac today.

I think madami na din naturukan na seniors, pati si Ayala.

Meron kasi sa questionnaire if taking blood thinners, my Mom takes aspirin so I want to ask her cardio first. Also, I am scared baka sa vaccination site pa nila makuha since they have not stepped out of the house since March 2020. Yung second Mom ko naman, I never tested her for covid

Dr Joey Avila, 63 y/o. Pathologist heavily involved in the testing of hcw in the MMC. Got Sinovac. And I just found out now the younger brother passed on while the doctor was confined.

That is so tragic. Was is because ilang araw pa lang from the 2nd dose of sinovac OR because it's less effective on seniors?

Madami na senior na had their sinovac vaccine. Don't worry have them vaccinated. its better to be safe than sorry.

I am scared kasi baka sa vaccination site pa makuha or better to wait for a safer vaccine since they do not go out naman. Pwede pala i reschedule, the question is when...

Pops and mom In-law ng utol ko are 82 and 78 respectively. They got sinovaced A week or so ago.

So far they're doing ok.

Btw, sabi sa akin ng doctor you'll be protected after 6 weeks counted from the date of inoculation pa.

I told my Mom nga pag high blood hindi itutuloy. Yung Tita ko nagpa rechedule ng September. Now my Mom is thinking of rescheduling ng June

How long after a person has covid can he or she take the vaccine? Kasi I never had my second mom tested so I will never know nga. Don't know if safe na siya for vaccine

The vaccination centers should be safe as there are marshals going around to make sure safety protocols are being followed. You always overthink things.

If you want to be ultra safe, let your seniors wear full PPE suits, then butasan mo dun sa side ng arm to be injected nalang.

Di ba naka full PPE suit naman yung nagtuturok? So very minimal chance na matransmit nya ang virus.

And most HCWs naman vaccinated na, so mababa na viral loads nila if may covid sila.

i take my 80+ yo mom out all the time. size "S" yung sa kanya

agree it's quite difficult to find a disposable that fits small faces well lots of leakage above the nose, and a lot of models tend to interfere w/ eyeglasses. pro tip: remove the nose pads on your glasses when wearing respirators

3m half face respirators. available in S M L. then 3M 2091 which has 99.97% filtering (P100 rating). do positive or negative pressure leak test (see youtube)

i take my 80+ yo mom out all the time. size "S" yung sa kanya

Where do you buy masks? I checked out the 3m 2091, too hardcore hehe. They will go out lang naman twice this year (both for the vaccines)

I have that issue nga, no matter how hard I press, sa N95, I get fog sa eyeglasses (which does not happen with surgical mask) My glasses don't have a nose pad naman

after madami nagpabakuna wala masamang side effect sabi naman ng mga anti-china walang kwentang bakuna kasi wala side effect
