    Stranded here in boracay.

There are some flights back to manila but I would rather extend my stay here for now until that whole ncr lockdown mess is over.

after a year na nakakulong sa bahay, i was able to taste some normalcy again here.

Now a part of western visayas region 6 bubble

Why it would not get approve? Because it will compete with their moderna and pfizer?

    Nabuking kasi... Outdated results

U.S. Health Officials Raise Concerns Over AstraZeneca Vaccine Data - WSJ

U.S. officials said they were told AstraZeneca PLC may have released outdated information about trial results for its Covid-19 vaccine—a surprise disclosure that immediately cast doubt on the company’s assertion a day before that results showed the shot to be highly effective.

In an early morning statement, the NIAID said it had been informed by the national Data and Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB) late Monday that it was “concerned” about the information AstraZeneca provided.

“The DSMB expressed concern that AstraZeneca may have included outdated information from that trial, which may have provided an incomplete view of the efficacy data,” the NIAID said.

“We urge the company to work with the DSMB to review the efficacy data and ensure the most accurate, up-to-date efficacy data be made public as quickly as possible.”

AstraZeneca, in its own statement, said it would update and reissue its trial results in 48-hours.

Sinovac says its vaccine is safe for children as young as 3

TAIPEI, Taiwan (AP) — Sinovac said its COVID-19 vaccine is safe in children ages 3-17, based on preliminary data, and it has submitted the data to Chinese drug regulators.

Early and mid-stage clinical trials with over 550 subjects showed the vaccine would induce an immune response, Gang Zeng, the medical director at Sinovac, said at a news conference Monday.

Two recipients developed high fevers in response to the vaccine, one a 3-year-old and the other a 6-year-old. The rest of the trial subjects experienced mild symptoms, Zeng said

Bata pa ko ganito na ko and that's not gonna change. Lalo pa na reinforce because if not for the doctors and medical attention that several members of my family got in the US, malamang marami sa kanila hindi umabot ng old age. Isa lang yung namatay sa operating table (lolo ko) but during the early 90s hindi pa ganun ka simple ang bypass.

Kaya bilib talaga ako sa medical field sa US. You can't change my mind at respetuhin mo na lang dahil personal experience ang dahilan bakit mataas tingin ko sa US.

That's the reason why data and studies should be reviewed independently. Now babalik tayo sa sinovac. Is it safe and yun bang supposedly data nila is tama? Eh wala nga sila pinapakita.

Sinovac's phase 3 trials were apparently submitted to each country's FDA. I am puzzled on why they don't release it to the public.

[Does this mean the Astrazeneca vaccine may end like being injected with saline water vs the PH variant?

Third Generation Covid-19 Variant Described In The Philippines

Vaccines currently in distribution are much less capable of garnering neutralization in the South African and Brazilian strains. Recently released data on the Astrazeneca vaccine indicate neutralization efficacy of only 10%.This is notable as the Brazilian, Japanese, and now Philippine variants all bear significant commonality with the South African variant. There is a substantial possibility that the vaccine would struggle with these other variants as well.

Big problem if that's true. Astra was the choice of drug by most LGU because of relative ease for logistics and roll-out ultimately. Kaso if 10% only and efficacy, sayang pera.
