yata
syempre prefer nila matinong ospital
i'm sure meron mga mild cases nasa private hospital rooms ngayon nagpapagaling waiting for negative test para makauwi na
ginawa isolation facility ang ospital
kaya napuno
basta anything operated by gov't doesn't work the way it should
that's my impression of gov't facilities
regardless of admin

during the time na maluwag pa mga hospital i think they admit mild cases
but whenever napupuno na they set up triage area outside to assess who goes where
so i think meron overlap from the time di pa puno to the time na puno na
maari ngayon meron pa mga pasyente recovered from mild/moderate waiting for discharge taking up space while there's no room new cases
IDK what's really going on right now in hospitals. But we had a hard time finding a hospital that would take my uncle in law who tested positive and was having a lot of difficulty breathing during last year's record breaking spike before this one.
And when a hospital finally accepted him after a few days he had to spend several more days in a tent outside the hospital before he could get a room inside. He was in bad shape but the hospitals were only letting in the more severe cases.
If ever there is fear mongering by the media obviously they are not doing a good job at it given the record number of cases. Some doctors say the actual number is closer to 12k.

triage decides which cases are more urgent
in extreme scenarios where too many people need to be intubated (kulang ventilators) doctors need to decide to who lives
like who is more likely to survive pag nilagay sa ventilator vs ung sa tingin nila mamamatay parin kahit ilagay sa ventilator
they'll choose the one who is more likely to survive
hirap ng trabaho......
PGH, St. Luke's can no longer readily accept severe COVID-19 cases due to full capacity

My aunt died of pneumonia.

i am curious.
how fast is their update information system? and shouldn't their criteria for admission be uniform?
my feeling is, they only consider the bed occupied once the patient is physically there.
that can explain why there are several patients in the lobby, vying for the same bed.
how can this situation be improved?
I heard the spokeman of these hospitals interviewed by DZBB, and even dr. Leachon was telling this on his FB covid update last night.

According to news articles one hospital command monitors hospital capacity. So it's not a reservation facility. That means dependent sya kung gaano madalas mag update ng Capacity yung hospital. Also pag sinabi na sa hospital na ito may bakante pa, baka pag dating mo sa hospital na yun eh may nauna na.
