i have these nasty watermarks on the windshield and windows. Sabi sakin dun sa detailing center sa amin, parang acid rain daw. They quoted me P1k to clean all the windows and windshield.

    Gusto kong i-DIY eh.

    Rubbing compound kaya?
watermarks din sa windows ang problem ko. from what i've read sa mga threads dito they suggest to use white vinegar raw pangtanggal ng watermarks.

Old myth na yang vinegar, though still being used. Marami na sa market na lumabas na products to get rid of watermarks. Isa na dyan ang Spotless (sold in jars). Please note that this is to be applied and used only on windshields/glasses. Another product is the 3M Scratch remover. This not only remove water spots but swirl marks.

I've tried vinegar, and if the watermark is baked it forget about it, you'll need a rotary and some rubbing compound to take off the watermark better yet, have a professional do it for you. You can try it by hand tho but it will take a lot of elbow grease and time

I bought a Chamois, the yellow one. It's called..Super Chamois? Anyways, it's my first time using a chamois, I usually use a Microfiber towel. After drying the car, the next week, I go get my chamois, and I notice that it's hard! Is it supposed to be like that? i had to wet it again to gain it's flexibility.

    afaik:
the chamois is supposed to be used for drying and not after drying. and it's supposed to be used and stored damp.

It's normal for a rubber chamois to harden like that when fully dry. No harm...just soak it in water until supple, then wring it to remove the excess water. After that you're good to go.
