Compared to PC, your 25k is only enough for a video card, which you have to change every 3 years or so to play the latest games. There's even a demographic of PC owners who upgrade for the sake of upgrading and flexing rather than focusing on gaming. So much more magastos talaga.

It really boils down to whether it's worth it spending ~60-100k one-time and spending ~30k every 3 years for a gpu/cpu/ram upgrade just to have the cutting edge graphics or just buying a console and living with mediocre (but still 4K 60 fps) graphics and spending the money elsewhere.

I have laptops for all the other things so if I were to build a PC, pang gaming lang talaga.

It has always been a dream for me to buy a nice PC but now that I have the money for it, parang di pala worth it. So many things you can spend the pricd difference of a PS5 and PC on.

Maybe when I have a kid and s/he gets interested in gaming, I'll have an excuse to build one. [emoji28]

I never bother with a laptop since my job will lend me one anyway. At home, it’s just the PS4 for games and soon the PS5. It’s my wife who has her laptop at home for tracking her home improvement projects.

I bought my daughter a Nintendo Switch so she won’t touch my PS4. When she knew that the PS5 is coming, she asked me if she can have the PS4.

If I do give it, that means I will give her our small 32” TV and I have to get a new TV also.

Yeah same set up. Kaya I don't know how I'll ever justify to myself that I need a gaming PC hehe.

Even a 65" TV is still much cheaper than a gaming PC so just let your daughter have the old one hehe.

Been reading more about PC specs to continue my hypothetical daydreaming. Got reminded of another toxic thing - PC gamers really think of themselves as the PC Master Race.

Super elitist towards console gamers who they write off as normies. Always bragging about how their specs are enough to run so and so game at so and so fps at 4K Ultra settings and whatnot. Almost as if PC gaming is more about the specs than the gaming itself.

Not saying all PC gamers are like this but I noticed there are just more bad apples in that camp than in the console camp. Although I don't see the need to choose sides because you can always have both, and if you had to pick one, the better choice would vary per person depending on preferences, budget, space, and other constraints.

You probably should. It's seems a waste to play on a PS5 if you don't have the display and the sound setup to maximize it's eye and ear candy.

Not much into the geeky tech gadget stuff. I just enjoy my multiplayer online games.
