Opening up to tourists also increased the sales of the luxury stores. Most of the increase is probably from revenge shopping though.

baka naman kasi, lookers-and-not-buyers lang ang mga 'yan.

    years ago,
a knowledgeable person once commented on the molopisha at that time,
"maraming tao diyan, but they still do not spend enough..."

kags sees (imagines!) what he wants to see...

    heh heh.
Sales are improving indeed doc, better than pre-pandemic levels so far. Worry lang namin sa retail industry is the continuous price increase of basic goods/agri products. Iba talaga consumption ng upper part of the economic bracket and the lower/lowest income group.

makati & bgc magkakaroon ng changes because they are the telephone operator capital of the philippines na dating opisina pero ngayon sa bahay na mas productive pa.

you dont go on national tv kung hindi naapektuhan ang sales ng city....nagdomino yan.

although majority of pinoys don't go to luxury brand stores, the number of people who do has been increasing thru the years

pwedemg buhay nga but bago pa magpandemic eh NILALANGAW na GLORIETA. I dare anyone post photo pag weekdays and weekends gaano kakonti tao jan.

An item that cost 599pesos.

Makati should shift na maging luxury capital of 3rd world philippines.

kung kaaya-aya sana going to makati eh pwede yan revenge shopping. But sa sm north, megamall, mall of asia lang tunay na mararamdaman yan.

Majority ng pinoy ayaw pumunta ng makati. Mismo taga makati nga ayaw ng lumabas ng bahay nila. Ganyan ang epekto pag ang namumuno jan mafia.

usually ang pumupunta ng makati eh necessity ng work pero dahil sa new normal nagbago na naging WFH.

pero tsikoteers kahit pinupuri ko sm eh dahil yun ang reality matao talaga PERO yung sm supermarket, savemore , hypemarket eh dapat deadmahin kasi sobrang kapal ng mukha!!!! Spam meatloaf 223pesos!!!! Eh sa landers 191. A difference of 32 pesos napaka-kapal ng mukha talaga nag feeling convinience store 7-11 pricing!!!!

Show the power na wag magpapagulang.

Kita nyo tsikoteers gaano ako kakwitis.

oo pero may mga tao gusto lumabas ng bahay, pumunta sa tindahan, amuyin ang tindahan, hawak-hawak himas-himas mga item, be treated special by store staff...

there are people who want the whole experience (kahit mas mahal bumili sa store)

you don't get that kung nagpabili ka lang

SSI? Buyers doc. I posted here a few months ago complaining about stores being out of stock. My Mom gave me money to buy myself a decent bag kasi kawawa naman ako with the 168/divisoria bag that I've been using all throughout the pandemic. I rarely buy here in PH but inquired because even abroad it's out of stock.

Note that SSI's mark up is criminal, minimum 50% compared to US and Europe. Guess what? Out of stock. Apparently even with that mark up a lot of Filipino takers pa rin. I would never buy at that mark up.

He ignores facts and statistics if it doesn't agree with him. Sinong magbabayad ng premium para makipagsiksikan. ice15 mentioned, when you buy, it's also the service and experience.

Buying luxury from FB groups? That is such an oxymoron. Puro mga telephone operator, DH, walker at sales lady kasi ka hang out mo

Kaaya aya ang SM? In what planet?

says who? taga Makati ka ba? How come when I meet up with friends from the North and South sa Makati/BGC ang meet up? Because it's where the new restaurants are.

    cathey,

ang meron sa makati eh ambience thats it. Majority TIIS-GANDA

Baka mga taga katipunan, farview, libis yan not trueQC.

Ask anyone here in tsikot na taga trueQC pero hindi nagwork sa makati pero jan nag mall sa ayala avenue. Walang gagawa nyan kasi pinahirapan sarili naging mandirigma.

Its the reality of life.
